Tried to post earlier whilst making more white choc fudge but the wireless signal isn't strong enough in the kitchen.... Had a reasonably productive day - eyebrows done, legs shaved & hair cut, bed changed, friend visited (v pleased with home made goodies), lunch out with DH, more goodies made, last couple of family cards posted (i know, too late, but better than never!).

Off to find my list, I must be due a star or two by now! Will attempt to catch up too!

mudders - wonderful DH! I once dropped a full bottle of wine in an airport check up queue....boy was I popular....

Macpep - I'd be mighty peed off too! Have you got any stickly labels you can use as tape? Just write Happy Christmas on them - not ideal but at least you'll get them wrapped. Or, could you wrap the presents and just tie with ribbon? Have you got any gift bags - even if you have to get them from under the tree and re-wrap those gifts once you've got sellotape tomorrow. Big hugs to you xx

Sorry Triker - get home safe vibes to your DH and to anyone else who's travelling.

If in doubt then don't travel. You can always do Christmas on another day (says me who does Christmas in July with my sister!) xx

This evening not going smoothly then...

macpep - if you have a stapler or glue and perhaps a hole punch then you should be able to make some kind of gift bag using the wrapping paper, and the ribbons to make handles??? Try googling how to make a gift bag, or look on the Christmas thread on here.

DD suddenly felt unwell over dinner, went up to bed, and fell asleep. She woke in tears feeling really poorly, has a temperature and very sore throat. I have extremely low expectations of Christmas anyway, having had so many where one, some or all of the family were ill. I'll check on her during the night, and hope she feels better in the morning. OH (the worrier in this family) has now spent the evening checking out swine flu info. Just as likely to be a bad cold, or tonsillitis....She's really been looking forward to Christmas though, and is really upset.

Safe journey vibes for those who need them.
