Serena I hope your daughter feels better tomorrow, we've spent several Christmases at home with sick little ones, it's got so I am pleasantly surprised if we are all fighting fit on Christmas day.

Just got back from Tesco's...I think half of Norwich was there buying groceries as if there will never be another opportunity to shop.

I've just got two more presents to wrap, so I will got and do that then off to bed, will update my lists tomorrow, I've found these Christmas lists very helpful :)

They had no bread!!!. Not a major problem tho, can do without or scrounge some off my mammy (now that mse!!!)

Can I have some get home safely vibes please ladies....my hubby went out to visit a friend, the Police have closed the Humber bridge and pretty much closed most routes back to our house.

Its been raining which is icing over and I'm a bit worried....
I sincerely hope your DH find a safe way home - hugs honey

Hugs ALL and Kaz............OH gave me money last night to get vouchers for his nephews....Great...Then he gave me some more cash, so I said I won't spend that much tomorrow, so he said to get something for me.....very sweet, anyway, I bought lots of food and stocking fillers for DD. This evening he asks me what I spent the money on , so I told him and he asked what I bought for myself...I tell him "nothing".....thats when I realise that it was my Christmas present!!!! It WAS what I asked for....I just expected it in a card on Friday!!!!!

Anyway laughed about now.....I will get myself something in the sales :)

    Still catching up...........
Oh tooch, please dont say that. OH had been talking about how he'd got an extra £200 which he would give me to 'help with Christmas'. He came home from work the other day and just left it by my place at the table. Naturally I thanked him etc etc but please dont tell me that was my Christmas pressie too as I bought a new tree and decs and some more bits for the children. What was left I put into the bank towards paying my credit card :rotfl:

serena - Hope DD isnt coming down with something nasty
toots - I hear what you are saying but someone has to do it, seriously noone else does a darn thing round here. I hope your delivery comes tomorrow and if not that you have enough essentials to have a comfortable Chrimbo

To anyone else travelling or expecting friends and family home, stay safe vibes for you all, and to greenbee I hope your lack of posting is due to no internet not that you are still travelling.

DD is still wrapping pressies having just come to me and said I've used all the sellotape  luckily I still had a few sticky dots. Just got to hope DS doesnt need some tomorrow which actually in the grand scheme of things is pathetic me even thinking about.

Right more hoovering, upstairs then the kitchen, then clean the kitchen and mop ALL the floors downstairs. I will get it done tonight.

PS TO ANYONE WITH A FROZEN TURKEY - IT SHOULD BE DEFROSTING NOW
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
  • Kids' bedroom still a pit.

    Everything else done.

Just tomorrow spent making gammon, stuffing, veggies, etc, so we don't have to bother with much of it on the day itself.

The cats are remarkably interested in the kitchen goings on. Could it possibly be that goose, gammon and beef are tempting them?

    Locking the kitchen door overnight.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

grateful - some receptionists are great. my step grandma phoned her Drs a few months ago and asked for a prescription (she gets regular chest probs). The receptionist said, 'oooh, Mrs X, you sound very breathless, I think I should get the Dr to call and see you'. Dr called, wasn't happy with how she was and had her admitted hospital. Turns out she had lots of fluid on her lungs and was then diagnosed with lung cancer :( But, we're very grateful to that receptionist!

julie - hope you're feeling better. I think dh may be coming down with a sinus thing here

lil_me - well done - on passing your thing and on the bargain tree!

Hi Toots, L-l pigpen, hope you are all okay and not too stressed/overdoing things.

jojo, just read your list and realised my ham/gammon is still in the freezer. Glazed ham may have to wait for New Year instead.

Made 30 mince pies and then burnt 18 whilst making lavender bags!! You win some, you lose some.

I got alll the way to the doctors today after climbing down the glacier/hill to be told she rang to give me a phone consultatio to save me travelling. I allowed an hout to get 5 mies in the car as the drifting snow is bad:)
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I've got a pile of ironing that is higher than me!! About 5 loads to put in the WM and a kitchen that looks awful but I'm past caring about it - gonna iron what we need to get throught the next 3 days [doing that tomorrow], shoving the washing that needs doing into a couple of black bags and hiding them in my BR and then that just leaves the kitchen - the hotspots that have built up are going to be dealt with by bunging it all in a carrier bag until next week when I'll get the bags out from the cupboard under the stairs - that leaves me with just a basic tidy up all the way round which shouldn't take too long, go to work, go to Christingle at 4pm and then just wait for kiddies to go to sleep so Father Christmas can bring the pressies to the tree.

    Mudbath - know I shouldn't but I did - I laughed at your catastrophies - sorry

Have a good day tomorrow everyone and I hope you all keep safe
