DS1 has done a great job icing the cake - just the decorating to go SSL/Greenbee how do we make the scraps of icing green - do we add drops of food colouring an knead? He gone to play squash now (another new sport) as he is stir crazy with not being able to play golf due to the snow.

Played Top Trumps with DS3 and got him to do his trumpet practise

Going to have a quick look at the next sale and then tidy up from dinner and wash the floors.

    Evening!

Well, I'm still behind with the thread, but today I/we all have achieved..............
ALMOST (see below) all of the food shopping!!:o
The remainder of the present shopping, (I think:o)
And the best bit .....................I went to bed for a snoozette this afternoon. I've had some mega late nights this week due to a few dramas that have occurred! So,I was really tired to the point of nearly falling asleep in the queue at Asda:rolleyes: Anyway when I woke up about half an hour ago two little fairies have flyladied the house for me:j:j:T:T Namely DS2 and DD1!! Bless. DS hoovered upstairs as well and I didn't even hear him so I guess I really was as tired as I felt.

Anyway off to find a list a do some deleting and then I'm off on a turkey hunt cos that's the only thing I haven't got:eek::rotfl:

Cheers Pen Pen - I have said hello to Gordon once and am now saying hello to a glass of PG! (Pinot Grigio!) as the lightning and thunder crashes around me.

I have now put the last of the shopping away and cleared the surfaces in the kitchen so I have Progressed. Am just waiting for the puff pastry to thaw and will then make the sausage rolls.

If I get my act together, I might even make some shortcrust pastry and do some mince pies - but I might leave that until tomorrow.

Dusty when I made some marzipan carrots for my Mum's carrot cake, I used food colouring and a pastry brush to brush the colour on - much less messy than kneading it.

Just watching the news - hope greenbee is travelling safely - looks treacherous in her parts of the world. Please let us all know that you've arrived in one piece when you get there greenbee.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
