    Hi all,

Well just had a lovely night up the pub with OH. Will be glad when New Year's is over as I have eaten enough to see me through the next week. Just had a nice cuppa and some of my sister's home-made carrot cake (my 3rd piece today), bad I know but it's flipping tasty!

Had one NSD so far (obviously NYD) and not bought any clothes yet, ha! The test will be tomorrow when I go to the local shopping centre as I need hair dye and want a look around Boots for any bargains as not really been looking for sale items. OH doesn't think I will manage on £120 for the year but I am ready to prove him wrong.

Hope everyone is having a good time off, back to work on Tuesday, boo. That's if not snowed in, it keeps snowing and is really quite deep now.

    Afternoon,

OH is away watching the footie and I'm supposed to be having a bath and getting the house in order, not done either!

Been sorting out my finances, really miffed I thought had lost my cashline, really hassled trying to change my details on the bingo websites, think might given them up, too much grief involved. Paid extra to my Barclaycard so my total balance is now updated, it's under £8,500 (AGAIN)!

One more day off then back to the grindstone, better go for that bath I guess.

Happy New Year Swinstie!! Hope you achieve all your goals this year! I've made a huge list of everything I want to do and it's quite scary! I guess it's best to concentrate on one thing at a time but I'm so impatient. Have joined the 1 debt vs 100 days challenge to see off the last of my debt, however, I would like it cleared by the end of February if possible. Should keep me motivated though!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

    Belated Happy New Year everyone!

Back at work today, stayed at OH's last night and had a horrendous drive to work, could hardly see out the windscreen it was so dirty and my scooshers were frozen

Started trying to eat sensibly yesterday for Detox today and have done not too bad. Unfortunately Boots no longer sell the tablets I took last year (and H & B's were too expensive), so I am going it alone

So far I have had Oatbakes for breakfast, two rolls on gammon, fruit salad and a yoghurt for lunch and I have a packet of Quavers for later. Trying not to be too strict cos I will just end up bingeing. Have also drank a litre of water and only one cup of tea - not cutting tea out so don't get headaches like last time. Need to go for a few provisions I forgot from shop yesterday then should have enough to keep me going all week and into next.

Have re-worked my budget from £250 - £280 as I think the lower figure was un-manageable, don't have much left and that's after raising it!

Sharesave in work is starting again so need to try and be even more frugal so I can join this (the money I'll get back in the long run makes it worth it).

Nothing much else to report (apart from the two jumper dresses I bought - but OH paid for one) :o. I've been looking for one for ages and it was on sale!

Ok, day 1 of the healthy eating plan is going well, having smoked haddock, sweet potato, corn on the cob and veg for dinner. Just as well as just weighed myself and I am 144lbs

32.3% fat and 25.6 BMI! I'm aiming to get back to 126lbs so thats a whopping 18lbs I have to lose :eek:. I'll be happy to get to 133lbs which is my usual, anymore will be a bonus.

My tummy is rumbling and dinner isn't ready yet, must not eat sweets :o

ETA: Bear in mind I am only 5' 2"!

Don't do it Shoe Gal - must admit though I love shortbread!

Just made some carrot & coriander soup, bubbling away nicely and now having a cuppa (only my second cup today, go me) whilst watch my big fat diet. Tv keeps jumping though, very annoying. Had one of my marzipan fruits with my cuppa, 14 in the box and allowing myself one a day, I could easily eat the whole box but they are upstairs out of sight!

Oh prog back on, be back later to put down my meal plans and lunches for the rest of the week.
