    Hi All,

Thanks for the link Sun Addict, will look into it! Hi Urg hope all is well with you, been reading your diary but not had a chance to post, will pop over soon.

Lunch didn't go as planned, didn't have time to heat up my soup as lost my car keys and spent ages hunting for them, had to use my spares and found my other ones in my bottle of water pack

So at work I had cereal, houmous and carrot sticks (damnation think I threw the pot away), pineapple with yoghurt, quavers and ONE caramel sweet from the Quality Street tin. Only one, honest but I needed it as was getting frustrated with our new IT system.

OH is at the doctor just now but don't know yet if he'll make it down, dinner will still be the same, will just need less of it. Waiting on him calling to see how he gets on, been waiting on this doc appointment since he collapsed at Christmas.

Might be back later or not if OH makes it :D

Hey hun hope your OH is ok and the doc gives him the thumbs up.

Well done on sticking to not buying anything extra for lunch :T. I forgot my lunch today but managed to get by (just) on eating 2 packets of oat so simple an apple and a rocky bar I found in the boot of my car :o. was sooo boring though, it was all I could do to eat the porridge. Must make sure I make sandwiches for tomorrow.

    Speak soon chickie

    Missy x

Had some yummy soup for dinner followed by chicken fillet with mini baked tatties and loads of veggies, just wondering whether I can steal OH's pot of custart for dessert

Well OH got the all-clear at the docs, he said it was a 'classic' hypo he took but in my eyes his symptoms were that of a severe hypo where you can pass out. Apparantly it comes on really fast which is why taking his insulin and eating breakfast didn't help. He has to back next Wednesday for a full work-up. In the meantime I need to try and find a blood testing kit for him as they didn't have any. Mind is at rest now, but he forgot to ask what the protocol is if it happens again (hoping it won't), as I've read up on it and it's very dangerous, I'd hate for him to take one on his own.

Anyway can't be bothered tonight now, just wanted to snuggle on the sofa with OH but now need to find something to keep me occupied and away from the sweeties, housework anyone.....

No housework for me tonight, too late now

Got lunch sorted for tomorrow, soup (this time I will have to heat it up), ryvita and philly, grapes, yoghurt and a kiwi fruit. Will take a pack of Quavers and an apple as an emergency so I don't get into the biccies. Had my second cuppa of the day with a square of dark chocolate (forgot to take some to work today) and gonna head to bed to watch Above Suspicion.

OH hopes to make it on Friday so will make my turkey mince lasagna tomorrow night (out of date tomorrow) and put in the fridge then heat up on Friday. Also have mushrooms, celery, peppers and onions to use so will chuck them in too. Dinner tomorrow will probably be more veggies, sweet potato and chicken (again). Wondering how else to cook the chicken, any ideas??

Off upstairs to watch prog, it's started, eek! Nite all x

    Hi Swinstie

Glad your OH is ok (phew!). Have you tried Go Ahead biscuits? They're on offer at 60p in Sainsburys at the moment. They come in 5 packs of 3 so you can't be too tempted to binge unless you're really naughty. They're lovely and I like to keep them in my work drawer for when I fancy something sweet.

    Swinstie,

I have just read your entire thread from start to finish and look forward to keeping up with your progress now that I have subscribed to it.

I have about £4000 in credit cards and overdafts to clear as well as a loan for just over £5000 which I would like to pay off early, but unfortunately although the amounts don't seem to be getting any higher, over the last couple of years they are not going down either :(.

I am determined that this year I will cut down on groceries and generally not buy things unless neccessary so these can hopefully be gone by the end of the year (the credit cards and overdrafts anyway).

Looking foward to hearing of your adventures in moneysaving!
