Ok, I have finally totted up my spends, so far I have spent (since 18th Dec) £105.45.

£57.95 on essentials i.e. food, however £10 of that was on two Chinese meals which served as 4 days dinners so not that bad, £37.30 on actual food shopping and the rest £10.65 on breakfast/lunches at work. Quite bad considering only been at work for 4 days out of that

£47.50 on non-essentials, £18.50 on leisure and £29 on clothes. I'm definitely starting my £120 clothing challenge from 1 Jan though as I also spent £52.99 on my Visa, so will start with a clean slate as will be trying hard to NOT use my Visa for any clothing purchases.

OH off to his snooker night tonight, he text before he left and said was taking everything on board and didn't want to lose me and said PS I wasn't a nag, awww!

    Hi lincs,

He takes it in the morning before breakfast and at night before dinner! He's usually quite good but as I said I think cos he's had it for so long, he doesn't bother with the blood testing when he obviously should. He had a very big wake up call and so did I, I'm still flipping hyper over it!

Bit late in the day but your OHs diabetic collapse triggered a couple of alarm bells. Just how close was the collapse to the injection of insulin? Reason I'm asking is my Dad inadvertently missed muscle and injected into a blood vessel. He ate breakfast, looked a bit grey and then 20 minutes later was unconcious, covered in vomit and it took an ambulance crew to bring him round which happened about 5 minutes after they gave him a shot of something else. Hes been diabetic for almost 50 years so its not like he didn't know what he was doing. Have to say its the most scared I've ever been and the only time I've not been able to bring him round myself after whatever triggered a hypo. Found a few things that routinely do this like traditional creosote which seems to play havoc with him. The rest of the time you wouldn't know he was any different to the rest of the human race.

OMG Moo2Moo, I think you have hit the nail on the head! He had only taken it about 20 - 30 mins before, ate 2 yoghurts which he always does (and never has any problems) and it was probably about 10 mins after he started feeling unwell! Thanks so much for that, I will tell him to mention this to the doctor next week! I honestly thought he was dying, maybe he could've! Glad your dad was ok too! xx

Afternoon peeps, at work and it's as boring as yesterday was. Got away early yesterday but boss man is in today so doubt very much it'll happen today as well.

Spent £2.05 on chilli for lunch, wasn't very good but will keep me going til dinner. Also blagged a roll on fried egg and tattie scone this morning. This all stops come next week when I start my detox though. Not sure whether to buy the tablets, £12 from Boots or just do it myself, think the tablets help a bit but it's probably mostly in the mind.

So from next week, I will be trying to bring in lunch at least 3 times a week and the days I have lunch at work, will have a light dinner so at least I'm not eating 2 big meals a day.

I have just joined the Crazy Clothes Challenge (£120 for me) and luckily it doesn't start til January as I need to go to Matalano tonight. This will be a test for me. My mum got OH a pair of Jeff Banks boxers for Christmas and when he went to wear them, the security tag was still on

Of course, she has no receipt, I bought him some too but can't find my receipt so I have phoned them and explained and the girl told me to bring them back. Worried now I will be arrested when I walk in the door

Well I survived Matalano although I did beep as I went in, surprisingly no-one even gave me a second glance . Got the security tag off the boxers then decided to have a looksie at the sale items. I popped off to the changing rooms with about 10 items and I bought...... 0 :j:j

TBH everything was tat! I had a few of those jumper dress thingies which I wanted to wear with leggings and boots, but I have decided I am to short/plump for them :o. Do you ever try something on that you simply DO NOT SUIT? I've seen 'larger' ladies wearing certain clothes and they always look lovely, I've seen 'skinny minnies' wear the same items and look terrible.

I'm kindof at the inbetween stage where I just look and feel terrible in everything I wear, not amused!

Well off to phone OH then make some dinner, think a bowl of soup will suffice, I obviously don't need anything more!

The thing is, we probably don't look awful in everything, but I know I certainly feel that way most of the time. Either that or I think I look great in something then get funny looks that make me paranoid all day!

I remember when I was around 18 and skinny and a guy at work said to me one day 'skirt's a bit short isn't it'! I swear I didn't wear a skirt to work for about 5 years, I was paranoid whenever anyone made a comment about something I was wearing, even if it was a compliment! Weird eh

Well, I have re-done the bathroom and bedroom, yeah! Just need to work my way downstairs now then I will sort my clothes for tomorrow as heading straight to OH's after work so need to get organised. Spoke to him earlier and read out your post Moo2Moo, the minute I started reading it he knew exactly what I was going to say. He thinks this is definitely what happened and is going to mention to the doc next week. He's also found his blood testing kit and it going to get another one to leave at mines. He's making a huge effort, bless.

Better get on, it's freezing downstairs, need to clean more to keep warm.....

    Advise needed!

Just got a new wooden bath rack from Next which is to replace my rusty metal one, it looks nice but have seen a storage caddy in Matalan which is similar to the first one below and is £20, should I buy it? It would go really well with the rack and set the bathroom off nicely.

The second one is similar to the one I have just now but mines is lighter and also the rattan is coming apart in places. Decisions, decisions! I don't NEED a new one but it was lovely. Help!

Ok, off to have dinner now before I end up at Matalan, phew it'll be closed.
