Oh thanks Essex & Romy, I'll try and scrub up better for the day, maybe I will just get everyone drunk so they think I'm a stunner!
Well, £1.20 spent today (on a large latte), nearly got a freebie as the canteen guy wasn't there when I went to pay, but I felt guilty so hung around til he came back. I'm finding it really difficult to stop the lattes, think it's this weather, I just want to get my hands around a nice hot cup of coffee, but I am going to slowly cut them out and try for one a week and no more. I'd hate to never drink one ever again. I also ate an un-disclosed number of Celebrations today, and judging by the number of empty wrappers on my desk I think I have a problem.
So I have the doctors tomorrow night as my ear is still giving me problems, and hoping to get the the chemist (if I can a script) then onto the gym. I booked in before I made the docs appointment and I really need to get back to it. Funny thing is I very rarely miss Body Pump even though I miss out on a long lie on a Saturday but I dread the gym after work on a Tuesday and Thursday. Weigh in is on Friday and I will have gained, I just know it. I've no one to blame but myself - think need to pop onto MG's thread again for more inspiration, it seems to work.
Well off to bed, although need to wait on OH texting to say he is home, which should be soon I hope. So night all, sleep tight x
ETA: I'm way jealous of your holiday Romylou - where are you? Somewhere hotter than here I hope! Enjoy!0 -
Morning all,
It's Wear it Pink day in work (instead of tomorrow), so I have my pink top and necklace on (and jeans of course) and I bought a pink ribbon too. Have also put into a sponsor and will maybe buy something from the cake stall - all in the name of charity you know. I'm ashamed to say that I can't put too much in, still kicking myself about the dodgy ebay dresses and if I hadn't wasted that money, I'd be splashing the cash today. I need to learn to think before I hit that buy button! On a positive note I didn't buy anything from the jewellery man who was in work yesterday.
Forgot to say last night, I made chicken fillets stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in ham for dinner last night, the fillets were big and OH got a raw bit in the middle - I was so worried I had poisoned him. I normally cook fillets for 20 - 25 minutes, if they are big, should they be in for loads longer??
Well have lunch in today, ryvita and the rest of the cream cheese, fruit salad, yoghurt and I have a brunch bar and a pack of choccie oatcakes - please let this be enough to stop me from going to the canteen (apart from to get a cake this afternoon), or rummaging in the Celebrations box.
Right, better get on with work!0 -
Swinstie, why dont you relist and sell the dresses on Ebay to get some or all of your money back.......
xxxxx
I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!0 -
Hey Tash,
I'd love to try reselling, but I don't know how to sell on ebay! Have only ever bought and tbh it seems like too much hassle, probably won't get anyone as daft as me buying them! I will put them away til after Christmas then see if it's possible to get them altered, if not, well I'll decide what to do then.
Well, got drops from the doctor for my ear, but may have to go back and get it syringed (again). I got my ears syringed for the first time about 15 years ago and have had nothing but bother with them ever since. Didn't bother with my other complaints as the more I thought about it, the more I decided that most of my problems are my own doing:
Headaches - not drinking enough water (and sore ears)
Tiredness - not going to bed early, staying on computer/watching tv too much
Itchiness somewhere, ahem - always had this problem but forget to actually use cream and tabs for it
Sore legs - probably age and or not exercising enough, oh and being a fat mare
So it stops now! I am going to really think over the weekend and get some plans of actions, firstly to get myself fit and healthy in body and mind. I need to do a MAJOR de-clutter as this house is driving me potty. Only I can make these changes - what's the point in almost being debt free if I'm going to cause everything else in my life to fall to pieces. Was going to go to the shops tonight but cosied up in my jammies - I am going to buy the Boots detox tabs again and kick-start myself from Monday 1st Nov. Haven't got much planned in November and it's as good a time as any, and will be a year til the wedding. Gives me time to book the plastic surgeon for some lipo if it all goes pear-shaped (bit like myself).
Well going to go all out tonight with a cake from the bake sale today, ate really badly at work and for dinner tonight so can't get any worse. Here's to a healthy and happy future, yeah!

Morning all,
Not feeling so great this morning, think the drops are taking affect, my ear is really hurting, which in turn has given me a major sore head! Although not starting detox til Monday, I'm going to try from today and eat better, no point in eating everything in sight over the weekend. I need to get something in for the dinner tonight as well, this cooking for two malarky is a pain, at least if it was just myself I'd have toast and beans or something.
No more money news, still in limbo until my payments come out next week. Have a good one!0 -
Ok, so scrub the above, I had pea and ham soup (from a chicken) and a portion of chips for lunch, not so good. I also had a yoghurt and some fruit (and ssh but I had a hash brown and latte too).
It's getting worse but have got my determined head on now. Drinking some water the rest of the afternoon and will try and have a healthyish dinner, if I can think what to buy. I know I have some tatties to use up, that's about it.
So £2.85 spent today on breakfast and lunch, but if I spend this every day that's almost £15 a week. I really need to wean myself off the lattes so they will be the first to go on the detox. I'll cut my tea down to two cups a day, one at work and one at home. The last time I cut it out completely and had horrendous headaches. Didn't get weighed today, but might sneak down for a peak just out of interest and maybe get weighed on Monday instead.
Got the craft fayre tomorrow morning so won't have a drink tonight, not really been bothering (apart from the party where I drank enough for the month), but OH isn't working this weekend (typical) so will want to do something.
Just had an email about sponsor money I owed from yesterday, another £2 gone, argh! Oh well it was for a good cause.0 -
Hi Swinstie
Sorry to hear about your ear problems, hope it gets better soon.
Im currently in sunny and Hot Florida and don't get back to wintery Scotland until 9th November!
My diet has actually improved while im away, mainly because its too hot to eat anything heavy so I have been filling up on salads:A
There is a set of digital scales here and I still weigh in for the "Weight Loss 31" thread every week for our biggest Loser competition. (I did suck at this before I came on my hols - craved the winter stodge!!) I'll tell you, putting on a bikini everyday helps with the diet!!
Speak to you soon
Romylou0 -
Thanks Romy, oh to be in sunny Florida that would certainly make me feel better!
Well, went to Boots after work tonight for my detox tabs - didn't have them, boo, but the nice girl ordered them for me from the website as they are still available. Turns out there was a 3 for 2 offer but instead of getting three lots of tabs (don't get them til 4th Nov), I got two packs of tabs and 1 pack of the 5 day vials one. Apparantly it tastes vile as well, bleurgh.
Anyway, came to £27, which sounds loads but I have a plan:
Start on 1st Nov with the 5 day one - I also have a nice hot stone massage and paraffin hand wax thingybob at the end of November so will be well pampered. The have a break Dec - March, use one pack of the 28 day tabs during April, break May - Sept then the last pack in Oct. Should finish exactly two weeks before the wedding and I'll be busy then getting other pampering things done. Apr is a great time to do the next detox as (fingers crossed), I should be totally debt free by the end of March, yeah!
Means my £27 detox stuff has technically lasted me a whole year, so not too bad when you see it like that. I was tempted to buy more and do it every 3 months but I will try it this way for now. Let's face it I need it to work alongside my healthy eating plan or I'll never get to my target weight. Had a blimp when I thought oh no I'm going to miss the gym AGAIN next Thursday but I can pick them up on the Friday, which is easier for me.
*ok confession time* can't be bothered cooking tonight so we're having a Chinese - in our defence we've not had one for weeks!

Enjoy your Chinese!!
I'm going to be at the Craft Show tomorrow too, give me a text when you get there and I'll let you know where I am...my friend is always late so goodness knows when we'll make it over from Edinburgh0 -
I certainly will, my 'old' phone bleeped at me last night as a reminder to put number in new phone! We're leaving around 10.30am, my sister thinks she's going to be in there all day, so I'll leave her for a wee while and we could grab a coffee. My last coffee, honest!0
