Thanks Shoe Gal - it still seems a struggle especially when I can't get myself off ebay! Be ok if I was a seller, not a buyer!

Anyway, had another NSD today, had porridge for breakfast, a roll and jam at my mum's (technically lunch), a brunch bar and cabbage, sweetcorn, fish and beetroot for dinner - I have been eating cabbage now for over a WEEK - wonder why I've had no visitors, Mmmmmm!

My last two items cames from ebay today, honestly it's the last two. A Karen Millen dress and a Coast wrap dress, they looked lurvely in the pics but once I got my bod into them, they didn't look so nice. Going to see if my sister wants to buy the Coast one from me, she'll probably say no but I'll try. There is potential to get both of them altered but not sure how much that would cost. They both seem to hit me at the wrong part of my leg and look at bit 'old fashiony'. I'm by no means a youngster, but not ancient either. Oh well, have learnt my lesson to only buy from ebay things I've already tried on.

X-Factor in the background, it is dreadful tonight, they are all bad. Might just turn it off and go do something more interesting instead. Night all x

Morning - Pay Day - yeehah!

Well didn't exactly get up with a spring in my step this morning, more like a slow amble. Traffic wasn't too bad but I was on a go slow all the same. Think have done something to my right hand, probably at Body Pump on Saturday, as I have pains shooting up my wrist whenever I move it, oh well won't be able to write much today then.

New girl (woman) supposed to be starting today, I'm guessing at 9am as she's not in yet. Considering we thought she was starting on 4th October, you're guess is as good as mines as to whether we'll see her today.

So as I said, it's pay-day, and I am itching to get my payments made, only thing is that my minimum DD's don't come up til the 1st and 3rd of November so I have a whole week of itching to do. I would make the payments just now but why do it early I say.

Nothing more bought for the wedding, tried on my dress again last night - I am not sure about it at all. I loved it at first but because it still doesn't fit, I'm finding it hard to imagine what it'll look like - I think I will look like a naff bride as I don't do dolled up very well. I hate loads of slap and look a bit clownish in it. I'm one of those people who don't wear much make-up whether at work or going out - you know the ones who you hardly recognise on a night out because they are all dolled up - yep, well that's not me.

Anyway the only othe bit of wedding related news, is that my Mum wants me to leave from her house - I was going to stay in a hotel the night before - I told her I was staying at the hotel cos we weren't getting cars etc., and she said she would take care of it. Very nice and very grateful, but the main reason I didn't want to leave from hers is that all the neighbours will be out watching - I hate the limelight. I did tell her this but don't want to appear ungrateful so am going along.

Oh well, better get some work done, hopefully by new colleague will be in soon.

Woop woop to payday!! And fingers crossed for new colleagues arrival also....

If you don't usually wear much makeup, why would you feel you suddenly had to pile it on for your wedding? Similarly, if you are usually happy with the way you look, why not do your makeup yourself? There's no rules that you "have" to have a makeup artist, or even a hairdresser, although I went for the hairdresser option as I wanted a style that would actually stay in place, and knew I couldn't achieve that myself!

Re the leaving from your Mum's thing - I think you're right to be going along with it if I'm honest. It will make her feel that she's really doing something special for you on the day, and if the neighbours want to watch, then let them. There's barely a person in the world who doesn't smile when they see a bride - think of all those smiling faces - and they'll be created by YOU! On the day itself you'll barely notice (I promise!) and, once you have dress, veil, tiara etc in place, you'll feel so special that if you do spot anyone looking at you it will feel completely right anyway.

I think you currently feel that there is a set of rules that you "have" to abide by / follow to be a "good" bride. Newsflash - there's no such thing as "the right sort of bride" - it's all about doing what feels right for you and your partner, and to some extent your families. Easier said than done I know but try to relax into the whole thing - it's so easy to worry yourself silly over the whole thing when, with the amount of time you've got, everything is fixable. It would be a shame if after the event you look back and feel that the wedding itself was fantastic but you have bad memories of the planning stage!

Oh, and the eBay thing - assuming you're not selling at all at the moment, get a trusted friend to change your password and not tell you what they've changed it to for the time being. That'll solve that problem! :D

I love hearing from someone who is really wise Essex! You've hit the nail on the head, I'm looking up wedding things, dresses, venues, chair covers, favours etc., and also seeing peoples pictures and thinking OMG is that what I need to do, look all glammed up with tumbling tresses (my hair is a short bob which I am keeping, as I don't DO long hair, doesn't suit me), so I assume I'm going to look like a plain Jane bride or something. I won't be having the over the top make-up either but again I'll feel quite plain. Don't get me wrong, I scrub up well and I guess it's the natural look that OH will want to see anyway.

I am going to get the car from my Mum's, she missed out on my eldest sister getting married as she was in Canada, so all we had to do was turn up. Thanks Essex, feeling more relaxed about it all. As I'm not sure about my dress (goodness what I'll do with it if I change my mind), I'm going to relax now until after Christmas. The mains things are done:

    a) Registry booked
    b) Venue booked and deposit paid
    c) A few other small things but trying to keep it simple, the more time I have the more I'll end up with

Good idea about the ebay password as well, although after my last disasterous buys, think I'm off it for life.

Well had a nice MSE dinner of small baked potatoes, fish fingers and half a pack of curried savoury rice. Really shouldn't have went together but actually tasted fab. Have also put a wash on, tidied the bathroom (not a total clean), and have almost finished the bedroom. It's starting to look better than it was, think that's the secret to a good nights sleep, a tidy room! Now downstairs though for a cuppa then will get started again and try and finish the bedroom before I go to bed. Have got tomorrow night to finish the house, as no gym. Getting haircut instead, (also dinner at mum's) so no need to clutter the kitchen again - or make it worse than it already is.

Have also discovered dark chocolate chip oatcakes. Bought them ages ago and as had no nice biccies, thought I'd try a pack, very tasty and healthy as they are oatcakes, ha. Well off for my cuppa and the rest of the pack of oaties.

Well I failed in my mission to get the room finished. Ended up watching a bit tv then ANTM, so at least have de-cluttered the V+ box.

Been reading the debt free roll of honour, I SO want to be posting on that soon. After making my payments this month (gonna stretch myself a bit more), I should be just over £2K, should be under by now but due to some stupid purchase - ebay no more - I am slightly over. Will work out my % paid again and hopefully should be nudging towards 85% or so. Instead of moaning about the dresses, I'm going to put them away and maybe after Christmas take them to a dressmaker and see if she can work her magic and turn them into something a bit more modern. Still can't believe how lovely they looked in the pics, but so old fashioned in the flesh - a bit like myself, ha!

Anyway, gonna get to bed now so I can get up fairly early. Night all x

P.S. That woman never did turn up, a bit of politics at work by the sounds of it!

Afternoon all, have been so busy at work today that I forgot to text OH when I got in this morning - oops! It's actually been quite good, I prefer being busy as the day goes faster.

Spent £1.50 this morning on a hash brown (I know) and a latte (I know, I know), also another bit of cake that someone brought in (I had THREE bits yesterday) - argh! I'm comfort eating and I don't know why, actually I do, I'm feeling a bit icky just now, don't think the ear infection I had has cleared up and it's making me feel bleurgh. Going back to the docs on Thursday, I'm never at the docs then there loads in a row.

So, haircut tonight, be around £7, might ask her about my hairband (although not got it with me), to see if she can do a hairdo around it. I will probably get my sister to do my make-up, but my hair needs done properly and the hairdresser is super cheap. Will probably be doing my mum's etc., as well anyway.

Still itching to make my payments, if I can stay away from the bank til next week (have £45 in purse), I shouldn't need to lift any money.

Weekend away at the end of November has been cancelled (already paid though), so we've got something else lined up, 2 nights DB&B with two treatments - hot stone therapy and paraffin hand wax for me, can't wait.

Anyway, ho-hum, better get back to work - starting to slack off now it's the afternoon.....
