Morning all,
Hey Missy, I am getting through diary, will read more at lunchtime!
Well, I got up at 6.55am, managed to get showered and have breakfast of a toasted bagel and tea. Had clothes ironed so getting ready was a scoosh this morning, why can't it be like that everyday, eh!
Anyway, not many people in today so gonna crack on with the work and hope for no annoyances today, now that I've thought that, it will happen, go figure! Oh, and we never won the lottery at the weekend, was hoping for a nice big cheque!0 -
Afternoon all,
Well registry confirmed, although thinking may change the time from 4pm to 3pm as with it being November, it will be getting dark - the photographer said he will see what he can do but as he is amateur don't want him stressing over trying to get decent shots. We're not into the posed piccies, some nice natural ones will be good though, actually maybe the ones in the dark will be better, you'll not see my fizzog, ha!
Venue is also confirmed for a meeting on Saturday, they have a wedding that day so should be able to see it 'set up'. Checked though and chair covers are NOT included. They did say linens and napkins were, just depends really whether we marry at the registry office or at the venue, whether we need chair covers, only need about 20 anyway. Once we book this venue we'll be forgetting about it for a while, want to concentrate on clearing my final CC debt.
Had lunch of ham sarnies and have eaten my cereal bar, only got a yoghurt, two plums and a back up of rice cakes left. Haven't drank any water yet but have had two cups of tea, must drink more water........0 -
Evening all,
Well had my yoghurt, two plums and ashamed to say 3 rice cakes this afternoon! Had lovely fish, chips and beans for dinner. Gonna have a nice cup of tea my fourth of the day (I think), forgot about the one this morning cos I don't usually have one (oops I didn't forget, see post above). Anyway aiming for no more than 5 cups a day, preferably 4 but I only managed to drink one bottle of water today.
Need to get my planning head on for lunch and dinner tomorrow. Gym night tomorrow but not booked in as not sure if I can be bothered. I know I should but will take my stuff with me anyway and decide on the drive home. Feels like trying to eat healthy is enough for me just now IYSWIM, with the odd gym sessions thrown in. Not enjoying the Body Balance just now, although it is a new routine so should be ok.
Well, it will be a bagel and tea for brekkie (only got 3 left so the same on Wednesday and Thursday), thinking maybe rice cakes with philly and cold meat for lunch. Only 3 slices so it won't go far, yoghurt (different flavour as I get bored), and will take some strawberries and blueberries to go with it, MUST CUT THE STRAWBERRIES UP LATER! I'll stick a cereal bar in too for afternoon snack.
Dinner, not sure about, I still have cabbage, an onion and mushrooms (fresh produce) to use up, not sure what I could rustle up. Think I could maybe make a lasagna for Wednesday night and use the onion and mushies for that. Thought of cabbage soup but have loads of soup in freezer and no room for anything else in there right now. Any ideas? See this is where I fail on my healthy eating, not being good at planning meals.0 -
Well forgot to declare that yesterday was a totally NSD, yeah! Only two so far this month but it's better than none at all.
Had my toasted bagel and tea this morning, knew there was a reason I forgot the tea yesterday, I only drank half a cup so didn't feel like I even had one. Anyway got rice cakes, philly and meat for lunch today, along with blueberries/strawberries and yoghurt, two plums and a cereal bar - surely to goodness that should be enough to see me through the day.
Going to have a crispy chicken, boiled potatoes and savoury rice for dinner tonight, unless I can come up with something a bit more appetising that is. Got gym stuff but knee is a bit sore today, if ok though, I will definitely go.
Got a message about my dress last night, said it was posted on Friday so here's hoping it comes soon, felt bad thinking I wasn't going to get it, but trying to be positive that it'll turn up.
What else, ooh seen another venue last night on the net, it looks lurvely but probably outwith our price range. It's a castle, which is kind of laughable as I'm the very one who said to OH, "the place we picked will be ok, I mean we're hardly stately home, or castle people, now are we". And here's me liking a castle - eeps!0 -
Evening all (anyone....)
Well woke up this morning with a STONKER of a migraine - think brought on last night with thoughts of chair covers/invites/wedding stuff, so all my own fault, got the heating on in the morning and almost passed out at one point, due to the heat and feeling woozy with the headache. Managed to drive about a mile to work then had to stop as I thought I was going to be sick, so phoned in to say was going home to bed. Managed to get a doctor appointment for stronger migraine tabs, had a nice sleep with my lovely eye mask on and right now, touch wood, feel brand new.
OH is coming down tonight so got spag bol bubbling away, he's not text to say he's left yet so goodness knows when he'll get here. Haven't really done much today except watch Ever After with a cuppa and a biccie, bliss. Hoping for a good sleep tonight, I'm bushwhacked.
Also popped into see my sister who said that the invites I seen on ebay (handmade) are a good price of £1.50 each for day and 75p for evening, she makes (and has all the stuff) her own cards and I was hoping we could do it ourselves but it might cost just as much to make, I opened my big mouth and said I'd pay her, ha! OH just text, must be on his way, time for a wee cuppa before he gets here.
Have a nice night all.0 -
Hi Swinstie
Just to let you know that you are not rambling away to yourself. I'm still here lurking away in the background enjoying your diary.
How did you get on with the dress from ebay???0 -
Rambling, moi?!
Yeah kind of felt like it, ha! Suppose I usually do as was talking to OH about wedding tonight and I could see his eyes glazing over on a few occasions. We have decided if the venue looks ok, we're booking it, got rough numbers, know our maximum though and definitely NO chair covers - he put his foot down! Only thing we clashed on was whether he was having his son as Best Man and me, my niece as bridesmaid - he said his son can't be relied on to turn up and my niece only want to wear a dress and have a bouquet, but we decided we'd budget for them anyway, as we can't very well decide at the last minute to hire a kilt, buy a dress and get buttonhole/bouquet. Will be relieved to get venue booked then forget about it.
Dress still not turned up but hoping for it tomorrow. If it's not here by Saturday will contact seller again to see if she has a tracking number, not sure what to do after that though.
Well think gonna call it a night as really don't want to wake up to a headache tomorrow, oh forgot, OH has gone home already, ha!
Night all x0 -
Morning,
Well woke up without the headache today, bliss! Decided after reading some of The Secret that I'd try and right down the positives and negatives of my day and if they are any negatives try and change them to a positive, so here goes:
Positives
Felt refreshed after a good sleep
No headache
Managed to get into work in good time, not early but not late either
Office is quiet so can get on with work
Got lunch made
Negatives
Fire engine flew by on way to work
Police motorcyclist driving behind me - thought was going to get pulled over
Loads of work to catch up on
Desperate for a coffee
Ok, so almost the same amount of positives and negatives but things I can improve on:
Next time a fire engine flies past me, get a better look at the firemen
Don't drive too fast so as not to panic when police behind me - he wasn't even interested in me in the slightest - probably going for his breakfast
Plan workload better
Have a coffee - already had the headache yesterday anyway
Not looking too bad, will be back later with more positives/negatives as the day progresses.0 -
Hi Swinstie - glad to see you're really getting there with the debt now, excellent! Congrats also on the engagement, and what a fab day to choose for your wedding - so excuse for either of you to forget an anniversary though eh?!
One thing I noticed - you said you were keen to cut down on drinking tea - initially said you were aiming for 3 cups a day, no more than four, then a little later that had become "no more than 5 cups, preferably 4". Why not write your declaration down, in black & white, with your chosen number, so it's there in front of you, you have something solid then and are less likely to slip?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
