Woo hoo, 48.6% paid, not quite the 50% I was hoping for but as you say edinburgher, I should be celebrating my achievements not regretting I haven't reached 50%, I will be over 50% next month!
This is probably the lowest my debt has been for years, at one point it was over £25K so feeling very liberated in not owing into double figure thousands now.
Looking forward to the veggie Haggis, I won't tell OH to see if he likes it. I did buy some sliced Haggis just incase but think will keep that as seen a nice recipe for chicken stuffed with haggis and been wanting to try that for ages.
Well just had a chicken kiev with chips, not mega healthy considering have just been to the gym, but didn't eat too badly today. Gonna do a bit of housework before Survivors, better check if it's on at nine or ten?!0 -
Morning all,
I am so tired this morning, spent most of last night cleaning the kitchen before heading to bed, didn't watch Survivors, was taping it anyway. I need to get myself more organised, I talk a good game, it's doing it that is my problem.
Got the trainers I ordered, don't like any of them so they will be returned. After Body Pump on Saturday I will chuck my trainers in the washing machine with the towels and try and revive them. Have already washed them a couple of times and they have came out ok. Only really need trainers for BP anyway as Balance is done barefoot. So I have resisted again, I'm getting good at this.
Didn't resist the roll on links that called my name this morning, can't eat first thing in the morning but then feel queasy til I do, a guy in work (who has 3 kids) has hinted I might be 'up the duff', impossible! Well maybe not, but I hope not, that would ruin our holiday plans for next year0 -
Lunch-time at last but not enjoying my sarnies, the bread always seems to be stale (even though just bought it), and no it wasn't the bread I attempted to make!
Ah quite bored today, considered a half day holiday but only got one and a half days til the end of March. Think feeling deflated after making my payments yesterday and knowing have to wait til Feb pay-day to reduce my debt again, PADing doesn't work for me, think will internet trawl to see what I can buy - kidding!0 -

Thanks for the info re body pump/balance - may start giving them a go! Congrats on the debt busting - excellent!!!
K xx
P.S - know what you mean about a half day but I only have 3 days until end of March too...although I am lucky as worked compressed hours so do a 9 day fortnight. Although longer hours in total over nine days it's worth it knowing that I have every other Monday off0 -
Hi Swinstie - well done on shrinking your debt some more! I know what you mean about feeling flat after you've made your payments - I seem to live from payday to payday! I've been doing a few PADs but have run out of money to do them with now so am waiting for OH to get paid tommorrow and DD to tip up her board and the £30 she owes me to make another payment. I'm trying very hard to be DF by the end of February now (hope I haven't jinxed it by saying this!).I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hi all,
Well the veggie Haggis went down well with OH. He kept thinking something was wrong as I kept looking at him whilst he was eating to see if he noticed, he didn't! He didn't even see the kidney bean plonked right on his plate. He enjoyed it and I must say it was pretty tasty. Not as spicy as real Haggis, but I would buy it again.
Trying to decide whether to have a cuppa, almost bed time and I really shouldn't, but the rest of my choc orange is calling my name, I opened it last night in a fit of chocolate desperation, it would be a shame not to finish it, ha!
Ach, might as well, got the gym tomorrow night and the girl at work is 'making' me go for a walk tomorrow at lunch-time. Everyone, please pray for rain!!!
Nite all x0 -
Nearly 50%? Well done you - that's a huge slice cut off your original figures :T
Glad OH enjoyed his veggie haggis, I'm sure it's healthier than the original to boot0 -

Im glad im not the only one, I tried making smaller payments every few days (not quite PADing) and I dont think that kinda thing is for me either. I dont like having bits of money coming out of my account every other day just means more to try to keep track of.0 -
Hi all,
Ok so I started off with good intentions, packed my trainers, spare pants (just incase), socks and a t-shirt then couldn't find my sports bra (which I have been wearing to bed) or my long gym pants. What I am really trying to say is that I didn't make my walk today (also needed petrol) at lunch-time, was going to go for walk anyway as had comfy boots on but it was just one of 'those' days. Have been contemplating all the way home as to whether I should go to the gym tonight, but have decided against it. Again one of 'those' days.
I am not going to lol around eating all night though, I have my dinner on cooking just now, once that has been scoffed, I will (in no particular order) have a Bailey's Bath, which is basically a nice bath with a glass of Baileys in my hand and try and sort through some clothes. Greys is on tonight but taping as usual, so I will put on some moosic and get on with the great de-clutter.
Had a few nice, if I do say so myself, outfits onto work this week, mostly using clothes I already had i.e. just one recent purchase and have felt nicely dressed for once. I have three skirts I need dry-cleaned and whilst I loath paying for dry-cleaning, I love the skirts and don't want them ruined, think I will bite the bullet and get them done this weekend. Now not trying to be yukky here, but I've worn them loads and they've never been done - sniff test is always ok! :rotfl::rotfl:
Ok, dinner almost ready, going to join the Use it or Lose it thread too, basically doing that anyway but it helps to be publically humiliated!0 -
Had a lovely Bailey's Bath, think stayed in there too long though cos now my skin is itching, or maybe it's at the thought of the HUGE spider I have just found in my room! Really makes me get my butt in gear and do some tidying/cleaning, I hate spiders and this was a monster.
Made some tomato soup tonight as well and had a wee cup to test it out. Saturday I will try and make turnip and potato soup as got loads of potatoes to use up, do you think I could chuck some celery in too??
Watching Gok from the other night then will dive upstairs to do a quick tidy before bed. Got clothes sorted for tomorrow, and lunch will be tomato soup, yoghurt, grapes and an apple. Sorted! Nite all xx0
