Ah home at last! OH has been caught at a job so is only just on his way home, so by the time he gets here it will be at least 7pm. Suppose it gives me plenty of time to get the house in some sort of order. Got one load of washing on, only 3 more to go but if I can get them done by Sunday I will be happy.
Got Body Pump tomorrow then home before heading to OH's so won't get much done tomorrow. He is working on Sunday so will head home fairly early (no shops, I have decided), stop at Mum's unless I do that tomorrow, then home to continue my decluttering. Have started updating my toiletry list, trying to use up things I have accumulated and will decide if I will purchase again e.g. using a Clinique Skin Renewer thing and it is making my skin feel quite nice, but I am imagining it to be expensive (it is a small tube I got free), really need to pare down everything I have.
Then it's onto the clothes, just wish I could be Gok'd! Can't remember if I said but I looked into the colour/style consultations and they were £100/£130 respectively, not sure if the style one included colour but I can't stretch to that. Will just have to Gok myself!
Have a nice nite all x0 -
Yipee I have just won £5 on the Littlewoods Bingo scratchcard! I've been doing it for months with only ever 10p or 20p wins and tbh haven't been bothering with it! Might just have a wee game of bingo now.0

Congrats! I won a fiver on BB this morning, but ended up losing it when I bought more tickets (minimum withdrawal is £50)

Evening all,
Well not much to report this weekend, still to work out my spends so far, but nothing out of the ordinary. Paid my sister for the bath rack I got from Next, it's nice but not sure it was worth the £16 + £2 postage
Only spent £5 last night, as OH took my out for an Indian meal to a nice local restuarant and commanded me to keep my purse in my bag as he had won £245. Add this to the £200 he won the night before and his holiday is almost paid already. He declined to tell me about the £200 on Friday night as I was so excited telling him about my £5 win that he didn't want to out-shine me, ha!
I bought him a belt today as part of his Valentine's gift, was only £7 from Zara and is to go with the pair of tan/brownish Cats he bought himself last week. He always wears a black belt with his jeans, which didn't quite go with his boots, so I got him one, hope it goes ok!
Had a nice chicken stirfry for dinner tonight and have made carrot and coriander soup for the next two days lunches at work. Also ahem attempted to make bread, it is a disaster! Let's just say that if I make a few hundred thousand more, I could build a house :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
To say it is brick-like is an under-statment! I halved the mixture as I only had one loaf tin, but the dough didn't rise very well, don't know what I did wrong, tastes not bad but think I might need a hacksaw to cut the rest! Oh well, back to the drawing board, or if anyone has a fail-safe bread recipe, please pass it on!

Hi there Swinstie! Your bread sounds like mine. The last time I attempted to make bread OH said if he'd have known I wanted bricks he could have brought some back from the building site he was working on! Ha ha! It actually tasted very nice but the texture was rather heavy to say the least - the birds enjoyed it though! And this was made in a breadmaker!
Well done on your win (and your OH's - jammy so and so!).I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hey Swinstie,
Popping in to say hello and catch up with everyone! Taking me ages but if I get it done can then go on and start my own diary for 2010 and get back on track with the money side of things!!!
Hope you are well- you seem to be super organised at the mo!!
Can I ask - how is body pump? I've been good and started a LBT class and spinning and have always been tempted by body pump but yet to go - is it worth it??
Well done on your break making attempt - one of my aims is to get cooking more, we have a huge kitchen which is lovely to cook in but just never do it - will try and take initiative from your diary and get my backside into gear
Hope to catch up again soon!

Hi SA and Karen!
Had some of my bread toasted last night and it was ok, quite tasty but think it will go hard quite quickly. I will get it right one day.
Body Pump is great Karen, I do Body Balance & Pump as I don't like jumping around like a loon like in Body Combat or Attack. I don't have the co-ordination and I end up feeling dizzy. I've been doing BP for over a year but haven't increased my weights much, the most I put on is 4.5 each side, so 9K's. I usually have 5K's for the chest one and the instructor puts us to shame by pumping 20K! Quite impressive!
Well I took a top back to JJB as it was too tight and managed to get another one and two pairs of training pants (all on sale), but they made a mistake and only charged me for one pair of pants, ha! Didn't notice til I left but hey it's not everyday I get a bargain. Once I get my trainers, ordered from Freemans, I can get rid of all my old gym gear, most was too tight or washed out, will be nice to have some decent things.
Also done a Tesco shop, got some Haggis for OH on Wednesday night but could only get the veggie kind, supposed to be ok, he can be my guinea pig!
Look forward to your new diary Karen, need to catch up on all my subs!0 -
Ok, something is far wrong with my ticker, not sure if it's cos at work, weird!
Well I have just made my payments for the month, pushed myself a wee bit and also transferred some money from savings, the reason being is that my holiday will be going on in April so want my CC as low as poss. Holiday was being paid by savings anyway, so may as well pay it now.
So my new total is £7,484 :j, finally got it under £7.5K, now considering this was supposed to be at £7K by last Christmas, it's good and bad.
That is £964 paid since I started my new diary. I'm even more determined to get rid of it now, after buying those gym pants last nite (which were paid cash), it really makes me realise that I don't NEED anything else. I still have a wee bit in savings (some I can't touch til Sept) which will be my holiday spending money, but will also cushion me if (god forbid) I need a new kitchen appliance or something!
Will update my ticker tonight, hoping for almost 50%!0 -

I'd argue that it's actually nicer (and I'm a fan of the original kind, too)That is £964 paid since I started my new diary
See - this is the important bit. When it comes to being a DFW, regretting things we may not have achieved isn't going to help at all - the only thing that matters is celebrating our achievements and having the determination to make sure that there are plenty more of them in future0
