Mmmm sugar rushes.....
Ok back to reality, managed the gym tonight, only 5 of us, and really enjoyed it, it's the getting there I don't enjoy!
As for Canada edinburgher, it would be Toronto then Ottawa as my sister stays there. We went last year (OH's first time) and did Toronto, Niagara, New York, Ottawa then back to Toronto, it was fab. Not as expensive as you'd imagine as sister and BIL picked us up in Toronto to drive to Niagara/NYC then to Ottawa, we got the train back to Toronto. I'd highly recommend the trains, very easy. I thought I might've got a proposal at Niagara, I had more chance of being thrown over the falls, ha! Sounds very romantic though, very exciting! Have you been before?
Stop encouraging sugar highs missy, I'm about to have a cuppa and now looking for a nibble of choc!0 -
Have you been before?
Yup - but it's been quite a few years now - ok, a decade
The only reason I actually got into my current profession (librarian) was because I wanted to emigrate to Canada, as I remember it as welcoming, green and clean (well, the trees are green, not so sure about some of the Canadians!) Sadly for me they no longer want us librarians - can't say I blame them0 -
I've always wanted to emigrate to Canada but in the latter years since I met OH, not been so bothered, it's like everywhere, where you enjoy on holiday is different when you need to live and work there 24/7. Oh I'd love to be booking a holiday right now, but I'm not inspired as to where, I know my budget and if we want to do Christmas 2011 in Canada, it's not a big one this year.
Feeling really sick today, tummy has been hurting all day, thought maybe it was the sit-ups last night but I feel sick too. I want to go home! Have also eaten dozens of biscuits (had a sore tummy beforehand) as had a bad morning, hung up on someone earlier because I had been on the phone for almost 40 mins trying to get a flipping parcel picked up for delivery, useless people! And their website doesn't have room for your email address or I'd do it online.
I think I am trying to be each of the seven dwarves today, so far I have been Grumpy, I'm now Sleepy and well I guess you could say I've always been Dopey!
ETA: Had a NSD yesterday and hopefully today too, and taking an item of clothing back so £10 refund for Swinstie!

It's possible that the usual winter viruses are doing the rounds - maybe take some ibuprofen, drink loads of water and keep an eye on it? Hope you feel better soon.0 -
Hi Swinstie - hope your tummy is better for the weekend. Hope the next dwarf you turn into is Happy!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

That made me laugh, and can you believe I could only remember three of them anyway!
Well, I have only just woken up after eventually leaving working around 2.15pm, all the managers were in a meeting but another guy in work told me just to go and he would tell them I was feeling sick. Feeling a bit better but my stomach is really grumbly (is that a dwarf?), going to have something light for dinner, maybe soup (couldn't eat lunch) as quite hungry and chill out for the night. I will take some painkillers and drink loads of water too edinburgher and going to make sure in bed early. Think I did sleep but was having weird dreams!
I must be ill, remembered my sister text to say she had made turtles (sweets with pecan/caramel and nuts) that you get in Canada, did I want to try them and I said yes (before I felt sick) but the thought of them now is yuk!
Have a nice night everyone, hope no bugs reach you x0 -

You get well now. Don't worry, we're all wearing our bug proof hats.0 -
Tomato soup = very tasty! Could've done with some lovely chicken noodle soup but didn't have any so tomato it was, it had basil in though and was quite strong tasting, hope it stays down (sorry to anyone eating dinner).
Just off phone to OH, so got jams on (actually got them on when came home today) and watching back to back episodes of Lost ahead of the new season starting. It's compulsive viewing but will admit to not having a scooby (is scooby a dwarf too) what is happening.
Will try doing some tidying tonight but tbh think it will an early nite for me. Going to OH's tomorrow as he is standby tonight and Sunday and need to feel better as going out for a drink with his son who turned 18 today  . Can't believe he is 18 already (was only 15 when I met his dad), was kidding OH he could be a Grandpa soon and he wasn't amused!
Have a nice nite all x0 -
Just had a nice bath, water must have been too hot cos now I can't stop scratching, help! Only got 4 episodes of Lost to watch now, so gonna have a cuppa and see if I can at least see another one or perhaps two tonight, really feel like an early nite. Maybe I should just have juice actually as brought my marzipan fruits downstairs and have been eyeing them up, 8 out of 14 left and opened two weeks ago so not bad.
Okay I am stepping away from the marzipan, honest
Got Body Pump tomorrow at 10am, then need to pop into the local beauty place for a leaflet as got a £20 gift voucher at Christmas from my boss, it lasts for 6 months but want to book something soon, feel a bit of pampering coming on. Then going to OH's, there is a shop near his that does colour consultations and hardly up on a Saturday so going to pop into see how much etc. Think it could help me to stop buying things and maybe try and streamline my wardrobe.
Got it done years ago but wasn't convinced with the colour palette I was given (Spring) and never liked (and couldn't find) the colours. Only problem is my hair is not it's natural colour which could be a problem, and I ain't going au natural i.e. probably grey :eek:0 -
Hi all,
Not very much to report, had a cheap night out on Saturday, only spent £10, went shopping today though for some new gym gear. Not counting it from my £120 yearly spend though as they were essentials. No really they were, after going to Body Balance on Thursday realised that every time I stretched, my t-shirt rode up exposing what can only be described as a white roll of blubber! There were only five of us in the class, don't want to end up being the only one after everyone abandons the class in disgust!
For £30, I got new cropped leggings, 3 pairs of socks, a t-shirt (a longer one which I tested in the changing room) and a zipped hoody type top. Apart from the short t-shirts I was wearing, my gym breeks have seen better days and are really washed out looking. Almost found new trainers too but were sold out on the Littlewoods website, were only £14 as well, damn!
Off to bed for me actually before I end up having another cuppa and something nice, nite all x0
