Hey hun I'm sorry you felt poorly and I do hope you're feeling better. £30 isn't a lot for how much you got hun, I am resisting the urge to buy stuff at the moment!!

Swinstie,
Sounds like you got some bargains there with the gym stuff. I luckily managed to win a bid for a pair of leather Faith boots on ebay on Saturday which although marked as used had only been tried on in the house and still had labels on. Hope they fit when they arrive as were only £15 inc postage and will make my birthday money go a lot further as the ones I was looking at were £70 in Next.
Wish I had your motivation for the gym as I am finding it really hard to get in some exercise, apart from walking the dogs (hate that at the moment as it is so bloody freezing here in the Highlands). I have agreed to go to Yoga on Thurs with a friend but bought a gym card for 30 sessions over a year ago and have still only used half of it!! The big joke is that the gym is literally just down the end of the street.
Anyway keep up the good work and don't spend too much!!

That was a great buy on the Faith boots Kaz! I'm not tempted with ebay much, in fact the card I have registered is now cancelled as I lost it, and haven't bothered to update it so all temptation is done, now if I could only do the same with my CC! I've been making sure my mobile and petrol are topped up, so I don't have to carry my cards, however I have been caught out before when I've went for some essentials at the supermarket and it's came to more than I had in my purse. I'm not very good at adding up as I go along, maybe a small calculator should be my next purchase!
Still feeling very headachy but blaming it on this new system in work which is STILL not working and no doubt the lack of water, not been sticking to my healthy eating and it's telling on me. Got the gym tonight though so hoping to feel better by the time I get home, OH is coming down tonight and will have my dinner ready for me, and I don't care if it's only pie, chips and beans!
Hope not too cold up there Kaz, just noticed you're in the Highlands, whereabouts are you?0 -
Swinstie73 wrote: »Hi all,
Not very much to report, had a cheap night out on Saturday, only spent £10, went shopping today though for some new gym gear. Not counting it from my £120 yearly spend though as they were essentials. No really they were, after going to Body Balance on Thursday realised that every time I stretched, my t-shirt rode up exposing what can only be described as a white roll of blubber! There were only five of us in the class, don't want to end up being the only one after everyone abandons the class in disgust!
:rotfl:I'm sure that won't happen! I love Bodybalance. I'm not a member of a gym at the moment to save money but am looking forward to getting back in the Summer and starting the classes again2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
I live up in Morayshire, near Inverness. Actually compared to what the weather was like it feels almost tropcal here:rolleyes: as at worst it went down to minus 20 at night.
Had a good night at my Slimming World last night as I lost 2 pounds this week. I feel a bit of a fraud I haven't been really following the plan properly either, although my eating habits are considerably better than when I started! Have lost seven and a half pounds (the all important half) since I started at the end of November, so it is coming off slowly and surely but think if I increase the exercise it may boost the loss a bit. Still haven't managed to drag myself to the gym yet but have been walking the dogs for an hour and am going to yoga on Thursday so it's a start.0 -

Don't beat yourself up about itI always use my mobile 'phone calculator. I love my wee mobile - the cheapest one I could buy at the time (Nokia 6300) and it serves as my 'phone, watch, alarm clock, calendar, diary and calculator. It's not particularly cool, but it's really light and is pretty much bulletproof!

Hi all,
Well managed to the gym tonight, Body Balance which is supposed to get easier apparantly, eh Jellie
The sit-ups were brutal, we were supposed to do like a reverse curl, I could hardly get my fat a** off the ground, was rolling about like a womble
Feel better for going, although was bad at work (again), roll on links then a few biccies, good thing is the biccies are almost finished so there will be no temptation. OH was down tonight and made a nice dinner, has just left and I really need to sort lunch for tomorrow, as usual I can't be bothered. I think I have lost my mojo
I'm off to bed, see if I can't find my mojo on the way......
ETA: I've been up as far as Elgin and Mallaig Kaz, just wish the weather would get better, would love a weekend up that neck of the woods!0 -

Hi Swinstie
You sound back on track with the gym now! It makes you feel so much better doesn't it? I did some exercises in my home gym last night - some new ones I found in Women's Fitness magazine - one of them was a strange combination of the plank and glute lifts - today I feel like someone kicked me in the butt! I enjoy exercising at home but sometimes I miss the classes I used to go to at the gym. My favourite one was Body Attack as it was non stop leaping about all over the place which is what I like to do - I'm not very flexible but I've got loads of stamina! Hope your mojo comes back soon!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
