I have eaten biscuits again today (and booked my holiday)!

Have been in the office on my ownsome practically all day today and have stuffed my face with biccies and drank tea! Something weird is going on with the management, but no-one will tell me (although I do have a source who told me what was going on), just waiting on it officially! All I'm interested in (cos it doesn't really affect me) is whether my holidays are ok COS I HAVE BOOKED UP:j:j

10 days in Portugal (Albuferia), not bad price, well until you put all the add-ons into the equation, like airport parking, credit card fee etc., but it is all budgetted for, going Half Board so shouldn't need too much spending money. As Christmas 2011 will be in Canada, next year will be a VERY cheap summer holiday or a staycation one, cos by March 2011 I am hoping to be extremely debt free and don't want to spend wildly again!

I am mentally thinking what summer clothes I have (even though not until June), and in order to not buy anything, really must stick to my healthy eating/exercising. Got the gym tomorrow night, really getting into it now, think the new gym gear helps! :D

I'm really annoyed with myself today, spent £2.50 this morning on a (small) latte and a roll on egg and tattie scone! It was delicious, but a) I was supposed to have cereal (forgot milk though) and b) I'M ON A DIET!

£2.50 is my window cleaning money for a month, !!!!!!! So anyway, it's almost pay-day thankfully and looking forward to a 'normal' month as last month's budget was over 5 weeks long!

Ho-hum, now that hols are booked I need to pull my breeks up and start cutting down again, both money and food!

Swinstie you can't be perfect all the time! Woo hoo about the holiday! It's great to have an incentive. Have you looked into those Go Ahead biscuits yet, or Weightwatchers biscuits, as they might satisfy your biscuit craving but with fewer calories. If you like them, Garibaldi biscuits are low in calories and they're tastier than Rich Tea. I like them because I love raisins - had to stop buying big packs of raisins as I just eat and eat them - now just buy those small snack size boxes - more expensive though but I can stop at just the one box!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Holiday sounds great Swinstie - just the tonic for this miserable weather we're having! GF is talking about Skiathos for this year (they filmed some of Mamma Mia there, looks very pretty).

I love how you're complaining about how much you spent on breakfast - it'd cost me £4 in London! I miss Scotland.

    Well Swinstie,

After hearing all about your various gym sessions I finally got myself off to yoga tonight and feel so much better after going. I think half the time the thought of actually doing these things is far worse than actually getting going with them!

Anyway after stuffing down a plate of spag bol and then huge piece of Artic Roll, (serves me right as I ended up getting brain freeze!!) I have decided to venture to the gym in the tomorrow morning before getting down to some studying. The gym as you recall is at the end of my street and I bought a multi session card over a year ago for 30 sessions and have only done about half so wish me luck!!!!!!!!

Swinstie, I agree with the others and don't be too hard on yourself. Sometimes if you focus too hard on dieting it just makes you think of food all the time. By the way I've started drinking Highlights hot choc at night to curb the cravings and have you tried the fairly new Muller Light yogurts which are vanilla with choc sprinkles and a cherry layer - really delish and very low in fat (as recommended by Slimming World people anyway).

I was smiling at the cost of your breakfast too. Mind you, ask down here for a tattie scone and they'd all look at you as though you'd grown an extra head or something! ;)

Well done on the holiday booking too - that's something to look forward to isn't it! Good call on half board too - as you say that ought to cut down the spends a bit. We always go self catering now as for a fortnight in the UK it works out way cheaper than hotel or B&B.

That's where I wanted to go, couldn't remember the name of the place though! Thought maybe OH could propose and we could have a quickie (ahem) wedding at that little church! Oh well there's always next decade :D

Good to see you are motivated with the gym Kaz, this is my fourth time since last Thursday, going on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday, don't see the point in any more when I'm always moaning I have no spare time to do housework etc. It was really busy tonight when I was leaving, glad the class is an hour earlier than usual. A girl was trying to get in but was driving up my side of the road (cars parked at the other side) and I'm waiting to go out, she could've got past me except some numpty in a jeep was sitting behind and to the side of me, !!!!!!! Some people are thickos!

Home now and going to make some omelette, got a sore tum and I know exactly why, THE LATTE! Doesn't agree with me but I love them, haven't had one since mid December, think one a month from now on for me.

Have some cabbage and tatties to use up so going to make some soup and then settle down for Grey's, know who dies anyway cos I seen a piccie in a magazine, why do they always spoil it

Oh and I love Garibaldi biscuits SA, used to call them Baldy Biccies when I was younger!

And here's me thinking £2.50 is dear, am I turning into a cheap-skate?!

As we're planning to do Christmas 2011 in Canada (was checking prices today for this Christmas to get an idea of cost), I will be talking OH into a UK holiday for a week at the summer next year. We both want to go oop North BUT me more so than OH as he likes the sun, whereas I wilt in the heat. We did Lochgoilhead/Oban/Fort William for a week a few years ago when my sister and kids were over and it was great.

That reminds me, my sister had to get her dog (Shitzu), Molly put down last week, the poor wee thing. I first seen her as a pup about 8 or 9 years ago and then for the last time last year, glad I seen her. OH must be psychic he told me Molly probably wouldn't be around for our next visit!

    Lochgoilhead

Fond memories - spent a week there with school as a teenager - I got tipped up (in a kayak), chatted up (by a girl) and beaten up (by a boy)... Good times :D

If you have a sore stomach after drinking lattes, you may be a wee bit lactose intolerant. I get a painful, bloated stomach and terrible, erm, indigestion after drinking more than a few tablespoons of milk or eating cheese (other than cooked cheese) doesn't like me much either. Most places do soya milk these days - consider asking for it next time if it's something that gives you problems?

Glad you got the order correct, would've laughed if you had been beaten up by a girl :p:rotfl::rotfl:

I think you're right with the lactose intolerance thingybob, apparantly milk isn't great especially if like me you get indigestion (I'm on tabs for it), but I love milk! The latte was from work so not much chance of getting soya milk but will bear that in mind if I visit Costa Fortune or Starbuckles!

Well OH is just off the phone and we have sorted out the weekend, he is working all weekend so the plan is, he will come down here Friday, I will make Spanish Chicken, sounds exotic but it's all down to the Homepride guy, had chicken in the freezer I bought as a whoopsie, so only £1.55 for 4 breasts, not sure how much for the sauce, will freeze the rest.

I have the gym on Saturday morning then will head to OH's afterwards, we will have an Indian then go to the pics, must mind and check times. I will head home on Sunday and try and avoid the shops, the girl taking the class tonight was wearing gym trousers I tried on last week and they were nice. I wasn't fussy as they were flapping around my ankles, turns out they have draw-strings :o. Were on sale, but do I need them, probably not!

Well Grey's not on til ten so gonna make a cuppa and head to bed to watch it, been productive tonight, made cabbage and tattie soup, couldn't find right recipe so made it up and it's tastes fab, now if could only get someone to do all the dishes - ach they can wait til tomorrow.

So soup for lunch tomorrow, needs must as ate half a BIG bar of Dairy Milk tonight whilst making dinner

Ok, rambling now, I'm offski to make my tea, nite all x
