OH !!!!!!!!! I've just found the cup of sugar on the sideboard. Phone rang while we were doing it and i've obviously forgot to add it. Oh well it'll be healthy!!! I did add banana as well though so hopefully it will sweeten it.

I made two today and they look delicious.Next time I will probably try adding some date puree instead of some of the sugar. Really good timing with this recipe as I had some unused weetabix as I just don`t like the stuff as cereal

We made both the weetabix cake and the chocolate weetabix brownies this afternoon.

So simple to make and the children LOVED them both. My eldest has already asked me to make the cake again with some added ingrediants and the brownies barely had time to cool before little hands whisked several away.

We will definitely be making both of these again.

This sounds delicious - but "a cup of sugar "puts me right off... anyone got any suggestions for an alternative?
How about using granulated sweetner e.g. Canderel? Not very OS but saves on those calories!

    Hi Mega,
Just weighed 2 Waitrose wheat biscuits aka weetabix;) and they are 1 1/2 oz or about 40 g.

It will definitely work with the minis, but I bet those minis are more expensive than straight weetabix, men eh:rolleyes:
We have some minis we dont like as cereal, will they taste OK as a cake, otherwise the birds will have a feast

On the basis I can't cook and I'm trying to learn, I'm going to be training this as soon as I can get the ingredients. Sounds fantastic.
