FZwanab wrote:I made it and it was delicious. Only thing was I think my oven is useless it needed 1 hr and 15 mins and after 45 mins at gas 3 I changed it to gas 4. Anyone else with a gas oven, how long did it take you?
Same here - I did 45 mins at GM3 then about 1/2 hour at GM4
It was still a bit gooey in the middle
I did have it on the middle shelf so I might try it on a higher level next time. It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0 -
Thank you for this, just made some tonight and it was great.Jue0

I like cakes gooey!!!!
I have made this recipe loads of times, & love it, also the chocolate brownies. They are better a little bit "undercooked", too!
And before anyone suggests that they don't keep so well undercooked....
.....keep???
..............chocolate brownies???

I made this yesterday for the first time - oh very nice.
I think I need to give it more than 45mins as mine was bit squishy on the inside. But it was lovely - will try other variations soon.0 -
I made the weetabix cake two days ago, using organic wholemeal self raising flour. The cake was lovely, and very puddingy, its flavour much like bread pudding, so I'm serving the leftovers tonight warmed up with custard.

I've just made this cake. I cooked it for 45 mins at gas mark 3 but it was uncooked. So I cooked it for another half an hour at gas mark 4 and now looks and smells good.
I'm thinking of trying to make a christmas cake style one next. In case I need to whip one up at short notice in December.0
