    Hi Mega,
Just weighed 2 Waitrose wheat biscuits aka weetabix;) and they are 1 1/2 oz or about 40 g.

It will definitely work with the minis, but I bet those minis are more expensive than straight weetabix, men eh:rolleyes:

I'm so glad you asked about the fruit - never have liked raisins, sultanas etc. I was thinking about using apricots (plus chocolate maybe).
Can't wait to give it a try.

Any more interesting cominations out there?

I'm going to try sunflower seeds in it next, probably with fruit too.

I was thrilled to see this recipe, will have ago this weeked. My youngest has an egg allergy and it is so hard to find cake recipes without using eggs. Does anyone have any more - like this?

I have just posted a recipe for a very easy cake (Apricot Loaf) which is delicious that doesnt have any eggs. HTH

Why not just try making it with a bit less, & see how it works out?
