Hi Mega,
Just weighed 2 Waitrose wheat biscuits aka weetabix;) and they are 1 1/2 oz or about 40 g.
It will definitely work with the minis, but I bet those minis are more expensive than straight weetabix, men eh:rolleyes:0 -

Thanks so much for the reply! I can now have a go at making that lovlely cake.....and I had better do it soon before OH and DDs eat all the weetabix minis as biscuits :rotfl:
BTW has anybody out there actually used minis in the recipe.... will report back once I have made it!

i get my weetabix from the local scoop shoop, dont pay for the packaging then ;-) going to attempt this cake soon, wonder if i can do it in my break maker and use the cake setting?

I'm so glad you asked about the fruit - never have liked raisins, sultanas etc. I was thinking about using apricots (plus chocolate maybe).
Can't wait to give it a try.
Any more interesting cominations out there?

I made one the other day without any fruit, and it was lovely!!! I have a recipe for a chocolate fudge cake that doesnt have any eggs in, if anyone would like me to post it i will.0 -
