Sounds lovely, but i really dont like fruit in my cakes, can i leave the sultanas out??? And is there anything i could use instead?0
-
would it be nice with chocolate chips instead of fruit?0

If it dries out a bit, it also tastes fantastic toasted with butter (like malt loaf).0

i think it would be nice with nuts instead of the fruit or choc chips like suggested above0

Made this last night and now the whole office is having a slice. no complaints yet.
I didn't have any mixed spice, so I used just cinnamon.
Yummy.

hello, have you got the recipe for the chocolate weetabix brownies, cant seem to find them on the recipe thread, want to make them with ds tonight, for our picnic on saturday. thanks0

Made the cake a couple of nights ago and, as normal for me, it didn't bake all the way through! Had a few chunks from the outside where it was cooked and it was very yummy.
It was so easy to make i'm going to try a few more times! we've been trying to bake cakes in our new gas oven for a while and haven't succeeded in a properly decent one yet and it's such a pain wasting all the ingredients and having to wash up all the time but this recipe is so easy!
Ta to those who posted it and those who posted how yummy it was (i always like to get as many reviews as poss before i try something)

I have just taken the weetabix brownies out of the oven and out this loaf recipe in.
When I was a kid myu Mum and I made a similar loaf using All-bran but you had to soak it over night. I love recipes where you don't need to weigh anything.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
