You know, Hamish might be right all along. Aberdeen could be THE place to be and perhaps we should all really be in awe of such a fine and shrewd man with great business acumen ..... ;)

The funny thing is, Aberdeen is a great place to live. Neither of us earn that much more than a typical wage for professionals up here. House prices are reasonable, life is good..... It just all seems rather normal.

    And this certainly helps......

Aberdeenshire offers the best quality of life in Scotland for its residents, according to a survey.
More than nine out of 10 people were said to be in good health, workers had relatively high incomes and almost 75% owned their home.

The area also had good results for employment and school qualifications, and rain and sunshine levels.

No, recent learner, so just an old 600 bandit or similar til she's dropped it at the traffic lights or in a petrol station enough times to not do so again....:D

Then it'll no doubt be a new-ish Monster, as thats what she really wants.

Half of my businesses are up in the wilderness, it's pretty, but it's REALLY painful to drive around to them in winter.

On a thread last week you told us that you work from home.

You are either full of !!!!!! or a very silly boy.

    Or both.

Clear skies in the Borders region. Looks to me like the Hawkwind gig is ON!

Like FC, I was a bit surprised to hear they were still going. They were doing the rounds when I was in London 40 years ago; their 'Silver Machine' powered mainly by what the police used to call, 'certain substances.' ;)

    Yeah, but:

Southerners 'Have Higher Quality Of Life'

'People in southern England enjoy a higher quality of life than those in northern regions of the UK, according to new research.
Halifax said 28 out of the top 30 local authorities that offer the best quality of life are in southern England.

But no local authorities in Scotland made it into the top 100, with Aberdeenshire the highest-ranked area at 153rd.'

And if you keep looking long enough, you can find an article to 'prove' just about anything....
