Hey, forget the economy for a minute. The snows falling, big fluffy white snowflakes. It's midnight ..... my kids are out in the street, there's a snowball fight going on with the neighbours. They don't remember a Christmas week like it. It's unbelievable for them ... all the Christmas lights and decorations up and snow like this.

Well, just checking in, it's a bit late and dark. But camera in hand, I'm off out there too .... might never see them enjoying Christmas snow like this again!

Snowing here again too...had been using the link Hamish posted earlier for the radar and when it said the splodge was over us, looked out of the window and hey presto, snow was falling!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

22C and pretty cloudy here today. I'll never get used to a hot Christmas.

The pictures look beautiful over there.

Got a proper blizzard going on here in Huddersfield right now. Had about 3" of snow appear in the past hour and a half and still coming down fast now.

    R :)

-1c here now, no snow today but it's all still here on the ground.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I can join in at last: I just saw at least three powery flakes that must have blown in from somewhere. :)

We do have ice though this morning.

we drove to the horses (very lazy) because we thought we might not get back up, and have to go round the houses a bit...we did get back, but we were slipping about a bit on the road, and can see that others have fared less well, with extremely wobbly tracks around the church.

The coucil did leave some grit for us to spread, (we have one nasty hill, and two little junctions that become wicked in the ice) but people have put that on their drives....wretches.

Just another lovely, sunny day, but we had rain last night before more frost, so the roads were a bit 'ooh err missus' this morning.

On the way to the Farmers' Market, it wasn't long before we came upon a car on its roof, and that was on the main road which had been salted. One lucky young lady had been found by some nice policemen, who were on their way to set up a speed-trap in a nearby village. By the time we came back, they were up & running, so we waved.

ETA: Looks like I've been able to find some snow in Devon.......at the Donkey Sanctuary. If you want an alternative view of Devon, here it is, though I can't think of anything much more depressing than an old donkey standing in some slush. Despite what it says, this is not indoors, either:

Brighton and Hove don't seem to do any gritting at all. Our end of town is like an ice rink....no grit by firestation or bus station apart from whatever they had themselves.....not much.
