For those who havent seen the auction, (Item number:320457251417).

No one else has commented on the postage yet, but for £5.95 I would expect SD if I was the buyer, you want to send 2nd class you should be charging a lot less.

It is sellers like the OP that give Ebay sellers a bad name.

exactly, i think we mentionned it briefly before too that the seller quoted the price and postage as 1st class recorded, and has then told us all on here it was only sent second class recorded. special would have been better, and ok the buyer didnt request special but to wait almost a working week and then lower the postage was awful. that poor poor buyer...

4.4 for P&P and 4.6 for communication speaks volumes. I'm glad I know who you are and have banned you from bidding on my listings. Ebay doesn't need sellers like you and I would imagine it needs you as a buyer even less.

Er, I'm selling a few old MP3 players and I'm putting on 1st class RD, and am prepared to take the hit for SD if they go over a certain cost.

Personally I would find 4+ stars good, not 5/5 ok, but much better than 1 or 2 star ratings, unless i am missing something, which I doubt:confused:

You're missing the ebay standards which says below 4.5 (ish) is unacceptable.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • It does make you wonder if its worth all the bother selling on eBay does anyone else think there feedback has gone to far in looking after the needs of buyers & is loaded against the sellers ?
Theres only two rules to remember
    1) Im always right
    2) See rule 1

You are a really bad seller, total lack of interest for your buyers once you've had their money.

But I wonder how different DSR's are for good sellers.I was really fed up last year with being marked down and being alerted that I needed to improve in certain areas, I was doing all of the below in all sales. I became very frustrated with Ebay and didn't sell, just bought a little. I've sold 10 items recently(sold another 2 yesterday), waiting for feedback(or comms to say items received from 3 buyers before DSR's kick in).
I post the same day or next day payment is received, well packed, postage at cost, keeping buyers informed, leave feedback when payment is received(not when they leave feedback). I know different people approve of different things, some me included want to know items posted, items received, others prefer not to be be bothered.

I would like to post my results when I receive 10 DSR's, I obviously don't want to post my Ebay ID but it would be interesting to see how much better good sellers do in comparison to people like ses6jwg.

Think he'll post back when the buyer starts a dispute for item not received?
