Buyer Hassling Me

  • the OP did not stick to their word of 2 days, and/or upgrade postage to compensate their own mistake. i said in a previous post saturday is not a working day technically but the OP basically said he/she could have sent it then but couldnt be bothered. as they couldnt be bothered monday too, which would have kept it to 2 working days. that extra working day it took made all the difference, as it often does. the seller is still wrong to have waited and not compensated, and they will have to deal with it through the buyer/ebay/paypal and face whatever is thrown at them. yes ok you say u post 3 days after payment, this isnt about your auction im sure you do. and when u select the dispatch time when listing something, it says 1/2/3 however many u choose days after receiving cleared payment, so again, no excuse can be made there.

I do post well within the time I state, normally next day, but say 3 or 4 days just to cover my back really, I mean I sold something Wednesday, sent Thursday and it arrived Friday, sent 1st class recorded, to say I was shocked would be an understatement, but the buyer was very happy seeing how close it is to Christmas. I do agree with you that the OP was wrong to wait that long to post, post within the time frame you state or upgade the postage option to ensure quick delivery or refund the buyer and appoligise for all the inconvenice caused.

    doesnt surprise me.

Ive used it about 3-4 years, used it less and less lately, there are so many con artists on there trying to make a fast buck by charging more than the high street.

and sellers get hit with huge fees.

tend to use the free ads now.

yeah - and sellers take a blimmin age to post stuff as well...

  • I posted an item 2nd class last tuesday, buyer says it's still not arrived. Thought friday was the last posting date so tuesday should have been plenty early

    early for what?
    its the 19th today
are people not getting its busy?
  • Yes, I know it gets busy - something to do with Christmas, maybe?

Theory being that last posting for Christmas being friday for second class, posting 3 days previous to that one could expect that the item would also arrive before Christmas!

    The auction ended on 9/12/2009.

I state in my auctions that I usually take 2 days to post, and RM takes around 4 days to move a parcel 2nd class.

As it happens I was a bit busy last week with everything and didn't manage to post it until Tuesday 15th - Post office said it would still arrive in time for XMAS.
You are not approaching this with the proper attitude. Being "a bit busy" and delaying postage for 6 days is not good enough.

what do you mean "won't last much longer?"

    I'm not bothered about DSRs

I'm not a business. I use ebay to sell old stuff I no longer want and buy assorted tat I cant get elsewhere

sounds like OP just wants people to tell him how unreasonable the purchaser is.

Turned round and bit you there boy didnt it:o
