My scottish SIL calls it 'jaggy juice'??

She says it is something to do with the fizzing feeling like a jag ie injection (apparantly, they also call injections or jabs, jags). Still don't get it.

I'm amazed at all of the comments re: Asda customer service as if it is unusually bad. In my experience Tesco, Comet, Currys, Dixons are all just as bad. We've taken numerous items back to Tesco for various reasons and have never once had an apology. What really annoys me is that the likes of Tesco think they are number one because we choose to shop there.

If you are listening Mr Tesco, and the like, we generally don't choose where we shop, you do by building numerous supermarkets in and around our towns!!!

By the way, in my experience, if it's Customer Service you're after, goto John Lewis, M&S and Waitrose.

    Rant over!!!

Sorry I can't offer advice on your flooring problem other than to say don't give up!!!

Thanks for that, i will try not to give up. Just waiting for a reply and will contact my insurance Company shortly.

Yes i agree Asda and the like don't care about the odd person complaining as they think..a few people complaining won't make any dents in our profits at all. So we lose in the end not them.

Just shows you thou, you pay for what you get. Paying just that bit more from Sainsbury's might have given me better Customer Services!

I hope that you get something sorted out with this. In the meantime (or if you get no response & chase them up) I would ask that all communication from them is put in writing. It would *really* annoy me to get phone calls & be questioned by several differant people. If they call after that just politely ask them to put things in a letter & don't get into a conversation. People can always deny something was said on the telephone.

very good point- I am going to start doing that. Do you just say put it in a letter and hang up. Do they try to draw you into to a conversation?

simple get quote........take them smnall claims with as much evidence as possible fact theyve given you £100 shows they admit negligence. You need to prove cost of replacing.

Not really they can offer it as a jesture of good will without having to admit liability or negligence!!!

    May be but unlikely.
I work for a supermarket chain but not one mentioned yet. If we get a problem like this we just pass it striaght to our insurers who then decide if to pay up or not. The problem is some times the customer exagerates to enhance the claim and are supprised when the get a visit from a man validating the claim. quite often finding no dmage or not as described damage. One we had at christmas was oil filled radiator leaked (or exploded as what was said) guy turns up unanounced finds no carpet damage but a nice wine spill that had stained. Washing machine leaks etc are passed back to said manufacture for rectification. We try not to get involved but then our insurnace are usually good at paying up for legit claims.
Unfortunately that why we have buildings and contents insurance.

Well after a long battle i finally got things sorted out with Asda, mind you I had to go to the top - Andy Bond the President of Asda, whom is very nice and understanding.

I submitted a couple of quotes to get my flooring replaced and received a chq for £750 to replace the floor in my hall (it's a huge hall!). So everyone it's worth while sticking in their and keeping to your word. I could have easily gave up and did think about it a few times. But Asda ruined my floor and i was too bitter to give up, especially at that price.

So if you have a claim don't give up. People were quick to accuse me of lying and fabricating the truth at Asda Customer Services but at the end of the day it was their faulty bottle of juice that poured onto my flooring causing the damage.

I'm well happy....a nice new floor getting laid this week.
