SYH4free (sell your house for free) scam or real?

Hi everyone,
I am new to this site but was directed here by a friend after telling them that we had a buyer for our house through syh4f.
Like so many others we sent off our 1% last week, as have been trying to sell for almost 2 years, and both myself and husband recently being made unemployed need to move out of our area to a cheaper location.
We actually paid by bank transfer (something called a CHAPS). Does anyone know if we are entitled to get our money back, as we did not pay by either credit card or debit card?
As we are both unemployed we are both gutted that this has happened and fell that we were only taken in because of our situation.
We rang the company on Friday to ask a few questions after reading this site, and was told to ring back next week as their legal team had gone home!
We now feel so stupid!0 -
I have a villa in Cyprus for sale. I do feel sorry for all whom have had there money fraudulently taken. I too have been Scammed for £7000. This is not the same company who took my money though. But what i find interesting is that the company who took my money closed down the day that Sell Your House ltd opened. If you want further info please feel free to send me a message and i will disclose all i possibly can to help catch these criminals.0

It seems their website hasn't been available for the last few days."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Why dont you do some research on the directors of this company. Surely they would have to give an address at companies house. Just turn up at the company directors house and demand your money back. I hope any information I have given people helps you to get your money back. Theiving scum. should not be allowed to operate as a legitimate company.0

We already know who the directors are, but I don't intend to go travelling the country looking for people who are probably enjoying their ill-gotten gains in some far off place by now. By the way, where has everyone gone?0

I too have been what looks like a victim of these scammers. I apparantly have a buyer of my overseas property, and have done since before Christmas. The offer was great, too good to be true actually. I have been informed that the "buyer" is due to go overseas next week to leave a 10% deposit with my solicitor. The only thing I can see happening is SYH4FREE dissapearing of the face of the earth very very soon. There has been no website since last week now, and none of my 30 or so phone calls have never been returned but none of these monkeys. Amazing that when you give them your name everyone seems to be "unavailable" or "possibly in a meeting". I know it now seems an obvious scam but when you need to sell you tend to try anything. I certainly will not be going down this route again. Will keep you all informed as to how I haven'y yet received my deposit next week. Never know, miracles can happen, NOT!!!0

Updating the website, give me a break. I played stupid today and rang SYH4FREE and asked what the web address was as I thought I took it down incorrectly. Their reply was "I am not sure, I'll put you on hold and try to find out". Oh and guess what, no one was available and, could I call back later. I also asked an Irish guy that works there which part of London the offices were in, he said he didnt know as he has only worked at the company for a few weeks now. How the hell did he get to the interview!!!0
