hi all, I to have been caught by these idiots!!!!! cant believe it. I have sent a bank transfer unfortunatly, but the other day i received a refund receipt for about £8500,00??? now where did all that money come from? I contacted Michael Rolls just to see how everything was progressing with the sale as my soliciter STILL hasnt heard anything from them and aparantly our completion date is a week monday, and he was quite concerned that i had received this much money, aparantly a mistake in the accounts department. (it still hasnt cleared tho, but i only had it put in on the 9th so can take about 5ish days to clear anyway). He told me to get intouch right away as soon as the money clears as it is THERES?, but as my boyfriend was told by the bank when we questioned about trying to get our money back, as we gave it to them FREELY it was our loss basically, so the way i see it they gave it to us freely also? so its there loss, and this will also help pay for any estate agents fees and solicitor fees which are building up. Also my bf told them, they can have there money back (minus what we have already paid them of course) as soon as our solicitor has the confermation she needs to continue with the sale. Fair or what?. Will keep you updated of any progress we make0

Hi everyone,
I am new to this site but was directed here by a friend after telling them that we had a buyer for our house through syh4f.
Like so many others we sent off our 1% last week, as have been trying to sell for almost 2 years, and both myself and husband recently being made unemployed need to move out of our area to a cheaper location.
We actually paid by bank transfer (something called a CHAPS). Does anyone know if we are entitled to get our money back, as we did not pay by either credit card or debit card?
As we are both unemployed we are both gutted that this has happened and fell that we were only taken in because of our situation.
We rang the company on Friday to ask a few questions after reading this site, and was told to ring back next week as their legal team had gone home!
We now feel so stupid!
Hi, i spoke to them the other day and believe the people in the legals department are called musapha yilmaz, and someone called dave, just ask to be put straight through to them, and keep bombarding. Remember also if you hear nothing please get in touch with Watchdog, myself and another 2 friends in the same situation have already e-mailed them, and i believe the more people who do so we will have a better chance of something being dont to stop them ripping people off!!!!0 -

I have had a couple of these letters now, no money has been refunded into my account and since I didn't pay anything into their account(Lloyds TSB A/C No 27129160 Sort Code 30-92-38), I am now expecting them to tell me my sale is cancelled. I am heart-broken of course, like there was any sale! Is it fraud that they are sending these kosher looking receipts out to us but no money is actually being refunded? My last refund was supposed to be for £7049, funny that since I paid them less than £700 to start with! Trading Standards finally got back to me, no doubt about it, it is DEFINITELY a fraud, so please, listen to them and don't pay ANYTHING to them.:mad:0 -
