Possible BA Strike

Before anyone starts harping on about that they can only use BA to get to their destination, i would beg to differ.

If you lived in the north of scotland you would find your airline options very limited ![/QUOTE]

As someone who used to live and visits the north of Scotland regularly, BA only have one route to/from the north of Scotland (ABZ-LHR). They don't even serve Inverness.

Far more choice of routes and destinations with bmi, Flybe, KLM, SAS, Eastern, etc.

I fail to see the need to use BA from the north of Scotland.

Seriously, why would anyone in their right mind want to even consider booking a flight with BA over a main holiday period? They will be doing this again at Easter and then again in the height of summer and again next christmas. They always do. They are a national embarrasment. Remember the T5 utter fiasco?.
Most of the cancelled flights in the past have had nothing to do with BA - but were caused by other problems that affected BA most as they are the main airline at LHR.

As for T5, that didn't happen at a main holiday period, therefore it doesn't support your argument so why bother mentioning it. If anything it shows how poor BA MANAGEMENT is - ie Willie Walsh and his merry men. Do you really want to support someone who is that incompetent?

Well, I called BA this morning to change my flight to February instead (which I would use for a trip home then and I would simply buy an EasyJet flight for 26th Dec). Anyway, I was advised that I could not currently change my flight free of charge as 'As it stands, flights from Gatwick are unaffected'.

So, just have to wait and see. I doubt this will be the case in the end, but I'm not going to pay extra.

Grrrr. Don't need this sh'te today!

    It only invalidates the ballot.

They can vote again (following the legislation properly this time) and still strike.

At least the flying dinner ladies strike threat has knocked bankers off the top of the most hated list.

Those "dinner ladies" might save your life one day if you find yourself on the ground with the aircraft on fire. That's what they're there for.

True. But they can't do it over Christmas.
