These are not my words but something I read a while back,
He brings home the bacon.
I cook it.
We both eat it.

if you are in a partnership then as long as you are both giving 100% financially or not i should not matter.
however if he is going to be soooo stingy then i personally would draw up a job rota his and hers and put fnancial rewards next to each i.e. his would be his work and yours listed of everything you do with an hourly rate.... my hb was out of work for 18months and kept the house whilst looking for work it was a struggle with me being the main wage earner and i only complained when i had to start picking othe jobs up like bills/shopping/laundry (because i was working overtime to making ends meet so he should really pick up his end of the bargain and we sat down and had very adult descussions)
sit down and reallt talk it through unless you think he will not respond to this0 -
I just can't get over how Sakura manages to feed two people well on £10 a week. Seriously impressed - so impressed I'm going to put it in my signature. I mean I thought I was doing well in the early 90s if I managed to feed myself for a tenner a week. I think it's possible but it must take a hell of a lot of discipline to do every single meal completely from scratch, always buy in bulk, and eat a lot of the same (healthy) things all the time. Plenty of porridge and veg and brown rice, you can't get healthier, or obviously, cheaper. Hats off to Sakura!"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." It's a funny old world when people are happy to share body fluids but not money..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I must have read it wrong, sorry. Although I find it hard to believe anyone can spend £10 on 2 people for food and eat healthily. Veg isn't cheap and I can't get my shopping bill under £40 a week for the 2 of us, sometimes it's even more. :eek:0

I know it sounds crazy but I really think it is poss! That's why I put it in my sig - mind boggling! I told my hubby about it because he is very frugal (see previous post on here) and also likes eating very healthily, unlike me who is half and half very healthy and stuffing the face with rubbish. He reckons he could easily live off a fiver a week for food and he does have an idea because he gets food in sometimes and does a lot of our cooking.
I think if I really really really tried, I could do the same as Sakura but I just don't think I have that dedication or discipline for that much planning, effort and in my case, denial of 'luxury' and convenience foods."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." It is possible to feed two people healthily for that sort of money with a lot of time, discipline and reading of Weezl74's Old Style thread 'Eat Healthily on 50p per day'. Incidentally Weezl has recently started a new diary on the MFW board.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

£7 a week for two then!
Lots of sprouting involved I would imagine?
Will have a look at that."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)
