    RE the smoking issue...

My GP told me that in some cases it's actually better to stay a light smoker during pregnancy as quitting causes high blood pressure and stress and although the baby is getting the toxins which is isn't very nice, smoking around kids is worse.

I've never heard such carp in my whole life. There is NO EXCUSE to smoke when pregnant. It's your choice. You CHOOSE to do it. Disgusting.

  • When I was a kid if I swore my mum would wash my mouth out with soap, it's the most disgusting taste ever! so well done for being able to stomach it lol. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well

I was told this too BUT the gp meant that you shouldn't quit straight away, it was better to do it slowly over time.
:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly :D

Just a thought for the OP - some of my students today were telling me about a science experiment that they had been doing (I know, random...) where they drank milk whilst smelling strongly scented foods (e.g. garlic, dark chocolate, marzipan) and they could taste them in the milk. Maybe you could try something similar but drink milk (or milkshake) whilst sniffing the bottle of dove?
