    I also got an empty packet- where 5 blankets should have been! one of my dogs had ripped open the bag but then I realised that even she could not have disposed of 5 blankets! When I phoned they didn't really apologise but said they would refund my money (YES I should think so!) No offer of any freebies.................needless to say I doubt I will deal with them again. How on Monday do they e-mail to say my order is being despatched and 2 days later an empty bag arrives? Why not just tell me they are out of stock- what a way to run a business!!

    More or less the same happened to me Katiehound, I rang and was not made any freebies offers !
    I'd love to know how much interest they made on the money they had taken and now awating to be returned on our credit cards.
    I certainly will not be ordering anything from them every again !

    I got my free back pack today, my daughter is over the moon as she is starting school in Aug and wants it as a school bag, shes been wearing it for the last 3 hours lol.
    Still havnt got my £2.25 in my account yet, ill wait another couple of days then call again.

  • I contacted La redoute through their website's feedback form. I asked for my account to be closed and my name removed from their mailing list. I received this email:

    We are sorry that you have decided to close your account.
    We are continually seeking ways to improve our service to customers and would
    be grateful if you would advise us of the reason for making your decision.
    May we take this opportunity to thank you for your custom.

    I feel sorry for the person who has to read with, and deal with our responses for why we no longer want to deal with the company.
  • I love this company and had no problems with them, yip some things don't come but thats the same as any other company...:)

    My experience of ordering online with other companies is not at all similar. for example M&S will ensure stock's available and give you a delivery date before you confirm your order. La Redoute do neither. Also, La Redoute won't let you cancel an ordered item, even if it's out of stock with no estimated date for becoming available again. M&S etc will let you change an order up until the items are packed and about to leave the warehouse. If La redoute don't upgrade their business model and processes they will find that only a small number of customers are willing to deal with them, and that these customers will expect special deals at loss-leader prices to make up for the hassle they have encountered. In the meantime, La Redoute will have increased outgoings in the way of transaction charges, staff costs and delivery charges for all the messed-up orders and freebies that are being sent out to placate customers.

    Just got my apology red backpack, tiny isn't it?:rotfl: Oh well in the wrapper it stays for a use somewhere along the line, maybe a xmas present for a tiny person:rotfl: still no refund though:rolleyes:
