It's great to hear you got back at it Queenie, I just used a wire brush and some plain white gloss paint.
Edinburghlass, I'm behind youooooooooooooo
PP how do you know what they taste like?
Churchmouse I hate to say that wasn't a checklist, that was just what I did, I even forgot to write down that I had wiped down the doors but if you want to treat it as a checklist then go ahead but I did forget to wipe down the bath panel.

Been completely rubbish at this challenge so far,and today doesn't look any better as my Mum's coming.Tomorrow is OH's b'day and he's got the day off and we're going out to lunch so no likelihood of any cleaning then either.
Probably not a good week for me:p I'll try again when the wind is in the right direction - probably the first week in August when OH takes the Thriftlings camping (:j :j :j )0 -
MushyPeas and SnowyOwl, I love your thinking, today I'll try better
Well at least I'll try to try better...
Off to put some stuff up on freecycle, that will help if I can get rid0 -

just noticed this thread - will join in this evening as I am at w!*k for the next three days (long days as well) Not sure if I can get everything done in the remainder of the week, but if I don't start, I'll never know will I?
Plan tonight is the loos/bath/shower/basins - then fall into bed iwth a G&T!!
At least I won't have to watch the footie - though I'll have it on in the lounge and everytime I hear a roar, I will run in to see if we scored or them!!!!!Everything in moderation..............including moderation..............0 -
Good morning all:wave: So far today, I've been to the gym, pegged out two loads of washing, and another in the machine, and cleaned my very clean bathroom!:j It took less than 10 minutes to wipe everything down today, proves it really was worth yesterday's effort.:D But, when DS3 gets up later I may ban him from using it, he always leaves it looking like a bomb's gone off! Are there still public baths?:rotfl:
Spurred on by my success, today I'm going to do the back lobby and start the kitchen. Won't be able to finish whole kitchen 'cos I've got to go out later, but I'll try to do half, really thoroughly. Report back later.
Moggins, I remembered to do the bath panel all by myself!!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Revised plan of action for this morning as I've been a dozey mare!
Can't work out why I started on the kitchen when I have to cook for a party tomorrow so:
Now doing hallway, stairs, landing and DD's room. This afternoon I will hoover dining room carpet and then start making trifle and quiche, then tonight I can wash dining room and hallway carpet.
Tomorrow after I have got DD off to school I will finish preparing birthday tea and then finish sorting out dining room.
Thursday I can then finish the kitchen and whizz round the living room quickly Thursday night when DD is out and at work.
That leaves my bedroom for Friday afternoon after I've taken parents shopping.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi, I've copied and pasted this from the tuesday thread, as I posted on there this morning not realising it should be here. sorry I couldnt join you all yesterday, pc was down, which meant I got more work done than expected
Didnt get started until 12 yesterday,as I had to walk dogs in morning, got home about 10ish, had coffee, them daddy paid me a visit , so had another coffee with him, I cleaned the 3 bedrooms, washed and dried bedding, curtains and weekends clothes, got loads of ironing now but thats another story I also managed to paint upstairs door frames and skirts last night, which both dogs managed to sabotage, ready for new stair carpet being fitted on thursday, was supposed to be getting done on wednesday but OH forgot to confirm this with carpet fitter.
So today after packing OH and DD off to work/school. its walking dogs, this takes me about 2 hours, then will give paintwork another coat of paint before I start cleaning. I plan on cleaning bathroom and hall today, this shouldnt take me too long, but I've got DS off school with a broken toe, so I keep stopping to talk to him, hes got a geography project to do today, and he loves pointing out amazing facts, so this will hold me up a little bit, any excuse I know.
I've got chilli in frieezer for tonights tea, DD will have pasta, which she likes to make herself, she will also make extra for hers and daddies bait tomorrow, shes so good
I must admit I've only been cleaning, no sorting out for me, the whole family plan on pitching in next week and starting a mass sort out of cupboards and drawers, once the house is looking clean and tidy, hopefully this will work out better this way, as if the house is looking grotty, none of us feel inspired to do anything.
Good luck everyone with day 2, hope the sun keeps shining for you all.

Just stopped for lunch, so thought I'd report in. Have had a tidy around downstairs, and painted door frames and skirts upstairs. Am off to clean bathroom and then hallway this afternoon. Dont know when the ironing is gonna get done, I need to find myself a dvd to watch while I'm ironing, to keep me going, theres loads of it
