Moggins, is it worth cleaning carpets before the party, you'll only cry if anything gets trodden into it, I know I would :rotfl:

I've just got in from work, having a coffee then I'm going to make a sandwich and watch Angel. I am NOT going to put housework before a whole hour of watching him *sigh*
The kitchen's pretty good already, I like to clean-as-I-go in there so it's just the top of the wall units (can't wait til they're gone - I hate cupboards on the wall) and mop the floor. So I'll have time to clean out the animal cages and vacuum.Bulletproof0 -
Hello - just stopped for lunch as I am at w@!K at the moment... well, did under my bed yesterday as instructed by Kelly and then whizzed round the bedroom with the old microfibre cloth and I have to say, it did the old heart good to see the bedroom this morning looking so well (on my side of the bed at least...). Today I have to take the kids clothes shopping as they will keep growing despite my best efforts, plus I've got to make a Victorian costume for DD's outing on Thursday so don't foresee being able to do much, but I might start on the library, which is our general dumping room... might not be able to do more than 15 mins, as even if I'm not sewing, I've got to deliver DS to rugby practice and get him back in time for the England match tonight when I will undoubtedly collapse in a heap.0

Got held up a bit by having a huge (shouting match) row with DH but am now back on track and DD's room is turning out well apart from the fact that I can't dismantle a dolls cot! I've left that for DH to do when he comes back.
I've had a huge chuck out of things she no longer plays with, rubbish found under the bed and her DVD remote has finally turned up - she will be pleased that she can watch DVD's again (especially as daddy bought her Barble in The Princess and the Pauper on DVD this morning)
All downstairs rooms hoovered, stairs half hoovered, I'll do the top half when I take the hoover up, and DH has got the printer working on the dining room computer so that will please DD when she comes home.
Don't kids bedrooms always take longer than you anticipate?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

From memory - no, not really
I was a lazy duck last night after work and got round to doing absolutely nothing.:o
I've had a lazy morning too. Mr Q has just gone to work and I told him sitting on the chair watching bargain hunt wasn't how I meant to spend my day - he just made me a mug of tea and told me not to worry :j
I have just done my bathroom though. De-cluttered & thoroughly cleaned.
As I'd already cleaned my en-suite cupboard under the sink on Sunday all the toiletries from the bathroom that aren't benig used have gone in there so my bathroom is now clean, sparkly & 'minimalistic' :T
I've got to nip to the shops when I pick the girls up from school & when we come home I'm going to try and persuade them to help me tidy out the shoe/coat cupboard under the stairs. It takes a good few minutes to find a matching pair of shoes at the moment
Anyone fancy house swopping for a week? I'm looking for a 1 bedroom flat to clean.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

Ahhh, but I've got a 4 bed so I'm not sure you'd be impressed with the swop
We used to have 5 adults and 2 children living here so I suppose it has got easier to look after now its just me, hubby & 2 girls.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I have a small two bedroom flat going if anyone fancies cleaning it??!
I think we need cleaning parties, I am sooooo good at cleaning other peoples places, but can't motivate myself to do mine! If anyone has a similar problem they are more then welcome to come and do mine!!!

My list for today looks like this :
- Finish scanning Bank/CC Statements ready to shred
- Washing up
- Laundry - as much as the weather will allow me to do as the forecast is 40% chance of showers later
- DD's/Mbed/Livingroom - daily pick up
- Inventory cupboards/fridge/freezer
- Ironing.
Put each persons into seperate bags (still with tags) so I can "present" them tonight when OH comes in
I've done one load of dishes but discovered a load of cups and 2 pans still with water & ick still in them ( @ OH who said he would "deal with the kitchen & washing up " last night as I went to bed at 8.30 shattered after falling asleep on the sofa AGAIN!
)
Last load of clothing washing has finished and will need to go on hangers in the bedroom/airing cupboard as I'm not risking them getting soaked if it rains (which it looks like it might do at any second). Livingroom looks like a bomb has gone off in it so I'm going to give that a good tidy and sort something out for tea tonight before going to pick DD up at 3pm. Off I go.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
