OH is watching the match while working on his laptop so I've decided to come on here and carry on scanning bank statements in

Washing up (apart from tea dishes and one large pan which there wasn't room for) is all done :D including my new purchases.

Livingroom is now presentable, except for DD's deckchair and the ironing pile, oh, and my paperwork

I need to make the packed lunches for tomorrow and then I'm off to watch CSI while putting the clean washing away and then I might have a bath. Depends on how I feel and whether I've already seen CSI: Miami ;):p

Plans for tomorrow (weather forecast is rain/wind in the AM but no more than 40% chance after 10am, followed by partly cloudy/windy) :
    • Finish scanning Bank/CC Statements ready to shred
    • Washing up
    • Laundry (new clothes and bedding)
    • DD's/Mbed/Livingroom - daily pick up
    • Ironing.
I'm going to try and squeeze in inventory work now. You see this week I'm using to try and get all the jobs I procrast about done so that I can do a major clean & clear out just before the summer hols if my calendar will allow me

Should really get on. Laters

Is it safe to come in now, has moggins gone offline :o

Another failed day but I did have to clean up a link from somewhere in the kitchen... so I do now have a clean kitchen floor :T:T
  • I know this is a bit late, but can I join in too please? I'm only a flybaby (am reading the book, motivational yahoo emails sound scary:eek: ) but I have a quite shiny sink and could do with lots of boogies!:T

I did hoover the front door as well
it was covered in dandilion seeds etc

It's when we here you've been vacuming the lawn we'll begin to worry..... ;)

I'm sure the powers that be on this board are consipiring to ensure I get on with the challenge... I tried to post earlier today and it wouldn't let me!

After another late start (browsing carpet shops) I got going on the bedroom as planned. I didn't take off the bedding nor wash the curtains as getting it tidy was a big challenge - IYKWIM.

Sorted through the two boxes of 'bits and bobs' as well as all that seemed to have spilled onto the floor, and decluttered my baskets that hold cosmetics etc.

Cleared all the units of clutter.

    Cleared under the bed

Finally put away last weeks laundry :o

    Reorganised one chest of drawers.

Washed all units - including top of wardrobe :A

    Removed most marks from walls.

Threw out a few mags :T :T :T (big achievement for me)

    Washed windows

Washed dog bedding (basket in my room)

Hoovered floor, ceiling corners and dog basket

Sprayed lovely rose room fragrance all around :D

I was dreading this job because of the boxes of 'bits'.
Admittedly there is plenty left to do when I return to this room next week (not going in there in the meantime :rotfl: :rotfl: ) such as clearing the clutter in my wardrobes, however I feel this was a really good start. At least now I can end and start the day on a good note. :D

    Also done today
chicken bacon and mushroom pie - turned out fab (but made D/W work overtime)
Towels dried and folded (my 'perfectionist' thing.....)
Bathroom re-tidied and yellow seat white again :p
Bicarb vacumed up (now going to have to clean vacum hose as I can see some yelllow bicarb stuck in the hose creases - Yuck!!!)
Banana bread made (and almost all gone again)
Darks sorted to make an 'all tumble driable' load (due to rain) now in W/M
Yesterdays wash load folded & put away

Lots of other bits and bobs - but doesn't it feel good when you write them down!!! Until I did this I thought I'd done nothing more than the bedroom!!!

I do still have a box of 'bits' to put away downstairs from bedroom, but that will have to wait until tomorrow..... Fly lady says I need my rest so I think I'd best go put my feet up :rotfl:

Hall and lounge tomorrow - now there's another major challenge! Another case of I'm happy to clean it but will someone please come and tidy it!

    Bye for now,
    Kaz x

    Progress report:

Well, I did say I would tackle the worst spare bedroom, but got sidetracked.
On the other hand, I did all the ironing, cleaned the kitchen & washed the floor, vacuumed upstairs & down, dead-headed all the tubs of flowers in the front & back gardens, did some shopping too... so not a total loss.

I really don't want to face that bedroom....
....it's a general dumping ground... probably need a 270 fling boogie on that one!

Chipps I give you another challenge just for you!

To spend just 45 mins in that spare bedroom, take a kitchen timer and try a 27 fling boogie first. You don't have to finish it, you don't even have to get half way through it.

Just 45 mins including a 27 fling boogie okay??

Actually I have to get in there & do something about it before the end of next month, as we will have guests to stay! So I will get on and do it at some point... honest!!!!!!!!!

Progress report - I've fallen at the first hurdle. Decided to test Skype this morning and ended up chatting with a friend I haven't spoken to for ages for an hour of dd's nap time. Whoops. Cleaned up normally - did bleach my sink - and did clear up my office a bit - but didn't even go near the bedroom as I'd planned :( Better luck tomorrow.

Well done to everyone who has achieved their goals today.
    Brassic - feeling guilty.
