Just a little update on Bruno - Gosia has managed to secure him a place in a rescue that will take him in January and look for a home for him. The rescue has no destruction policy and will look after Bruno for as long as it is needed.

He is recovering well from being neutered and is showing to be very much a womaniser - both for girl dogs and... human females

He is not too keen on men, he prefers female company and is like a teddy bear around women....



EDIT: The rescue withrew its offer so we had to look at other options and private adoption.

Just to let everyone know that Bruno is in his new home - we took him there earlier on today...

Bill, who has replied to our ad (yup, on Gumtree) has lost his 9 yo Rottie max about 2 month ago, he came to see Bruno yesterday and Bruno seemed to have fallen in love with Bill and Bill's friend.....

Big teddy bear Bruno could not get enough cuddles and was asking for more....

This after about 2-3 weeks at Gosia's house - from a "dangerous, outdoor dog that barks and sometimes bites" to a cuddly, teddy bear who loves attention and is not afraid to ask for cuddles when he wants them....

Bruno has learnt that toys are fun, Gosia gave him a bed, some toys and some food to start Bill off with him and Bruno moved from East London to Kent...

So Bruno managed to find a home and his own human despite every possible rescue we have contacted refusing to take him on or help us in any way, in a reasonable time....

Big thansk to celia Hammond Animal Trust for checking Bruno over for us, vaccinating him, neutering and microchiping him - for free.

No other rescue/charity (and we have contacted several of them) wanted to help in any way.

Lets hope Bruno and Bill will be happy together for many years to come....

I am waiting for a photo from Gosia's camera to show everyone here the "happy moment" when Bruno got "delivered" to Bill's place today - despite Gosia's car needing a tyre fix on the way and her GPS going crazy on us so much that Bill had to meet us at Petrol Station so we could follow his car for the last few minutes of the journey LOL

Bruno was very lucky to find Bill and Bill is very lucky to have Bruno, Bruno is a great dog.. it was just a matter of finding a right person for him.

Its been a lovely story this one and a happy ending...just shows you strength and kindness of human spirit, well done in your efforts, hats off to you all :T

Right - Gosia got a phone call from Bill earlier on today.

Apparently Bruno - as good as he is with Bill.... has attacked BIl's sister while she was visiting.

Gosia is collecting Bruno tomorrow from Bill and taking him back to her place.

We do not know what happened exactly as Bill was quite upset over the phone, we think Bruno jumped on his sister somehow, we were not told he has bitten her or caused any damage but we will know the full story tomorrow when Gosia collects him back from Bill.

Such a shame as BIll so much wanted Bruno and they too really got on for the few days. It seems like Bruno is a one person's dog (in his mind) and...

Oh.....

As I said before, no rescue is interested in taking Bruno - apart froom Battersea where we know he would be put to sleep and we do not want that to happen.

Bruno is a great dog - he needs the RIGHT owner, somoene that has experience of this particular breed,someone who has the time for Bruno.

Hope we find that ONE person soon...
