Christmas coming - some people.....

The big boy is happily snoring at Goia's feet as we speak - such a shame that none of the 3 of us can take him on.
My girl (GS) does not tolerate any fury strangers at home (apart from cats, she likes cats actually - our one and any I bring in.. she just wants to lick them to death and they are not too keen on it).
One Gosia has a problem GS already, can not have a larger dog that needs work.
The other Gosia lives in a small flat with a dog and is only allowed one dog as per her lease (no option to move either).
We are tottaly stuck - and also tottaly determined to makes sure Brune finds his home and his own human.....
Any help, direction, advice - greaty appreciated.0 -
It makes me wonder if this poor dog growled at those others thinking that they were coming to take him away from someone he felt settled with (i.e. Bill) ... I mean, how else could he warn them away?
If he felt ok with Bill then suddenly these strangers come he may have thought he was going to be taken away ... and let's face it, we don't know how many people he may have been given away to in the past ... sounds like the poor thing doesn't know what is going on or where he belongs and that's bound to affect him.
One thing I will say though .... I cannot say specifics, save to say that having a background in a vets I would NEVER take an animal to Ponderosa.
I am not going to open anything up (because it involves other people and their pets so it is not for me to say anything), but I would plead with anyone to give that place a very very wide berth and look elsewhere.
I hope Bruno can find his forever-home soon ... bless you and your friend for looking after him *S*0 -
Yorkie - I think to be fair you have to say why Ponderosa should be given a wide birth or state that it's just your personal point of view.
We all have our own opinions based on our own experience, but I think it only fair to make things clear whenever possible.
For example - there is a vet practice in the same district as Ponderosa that in my opinion should be shut down. But that's just my opinion drawn from my personal experience......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I know what you mean and appreciate what you're saying but it isn't my place to ... all I can say is that in 3 year's worth of experience dealing with them via the vet practice I worked at I disagreed with a lot of things they did, that's all.
At the end of the day it is down to the individual to go to a place and check it out for themselves, but people don't usually have the chance to see behind the scenes unannounced so to speak, which is why whenever that place comes up I just say well, it's perhaps not the place you would think and then I leave it to people to make their own minds up!
I'm sorry if I sound icky ... I know it probably does *L* ... but I just hate to think of any animal ending up there!!0 -
Ok Yorkie - but as a very last resort for Bruno it could be better than the alternative..................

Bruno definitely is.....
Turns out the necessary gap between rabies vaccination and possible travel out of UK is... 3 weeks.
3 weeks we simply do not have.
Damn it0 -
Didn't you have a place for him in rescue before you found Bill?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
