Sorry about no update for a long time, I know a few people were looking after Bruno in their thoughts at least.....

Hope has found a place in Oxford (Blue Cross) that took Bruno in few days ago.

My friend drove him there and all seemd to be fine.

Unfortunately, my friend was called today around 3pm with news that Bruno will be put down - unless we take him back. He has allegedly attacked someone at the Blue Cross. A behaviourist.

None of us was every in a position to keep bruno on permanent basis, we just tried to help him...

    RIP Bruno :(

Some photos of that "killer dog that had to be put down" from his last days when one of my friends was looking after him in her home before taking him to Blue Cross:

Beautiful, handsome dog and looking at those last photos I can't believe he's been PTS

That is so very sad. After all you and your friends did for him.Try to comfort yourself that his last few weeks were spent being loved and wanted and you left no stone unturned to get him a good home.

The way he was was down to his earlier treatment and at least he did not get rehomed and attack and kill a child,or you would have felt even worse.I think dogs are like people,we all have the potential to be nasty,it just depends on how we were brought up and sadly Bruno did not have a good upbringing.

I hope you feel better soon, you must be so upset.

This is awful, I'm so sorry all your hard work came to this. You are doing a wonderful job, please dont give up or get too disheartened.
I'm so angry at people who get these dogs and dont take responsibility for socialising and training them, especially the ******* who just want a big butch dog on a short lead to make them look hard.
My thoughts are with you and your lovely friends xx

Poor Bruno but you and your friends did everything you could. If it wasn't for you, it's likely he would already be dead so be safe in the knowledge that his final few weeks were happy.

    Hugs x

I'm so sorry to hear about Bruno, what a life he had but at least he had some positive times with you and your friend. They can be a difficult breed and generally quite wary of strangers as adults so I would assume that multiple homes would be more unsettling for them than some of the more social breeds. My staffy would go home with anyone but my rott is definitely my boy and wouldn't be happy with strangers.
