Went to local cake shop to buy the boards and boxes for xmas cakes to go in/on and they had a table set up with the paste on and it was priced at £2.20 for 500g. So bit the bullet and bought the 250g block and will have a go later as i detored the library for a book on sugarcraft figures.
You don't need to use the flower paste for modelling. Just sugar paste (make your own or buy ready to roll from the supermarket) and add CMC powder to make it firm enough to mode (this turns it into modelling paste, also known as mexican paste)l. If you use sugarpaste without adding this the sugarpaste will be too soft and the model will collapse!0 -
