Kirstie's HomeMade Christmas --- anyone else watching???

i would have preferred paris lol at least she knows what she is and calls a spade a spade. When Fearne Cotton followed her around, she was quite open about how rich and spoilt she knows she is. I really don't like Paris but have had a soft spot for her since I saw her at an airport, surrounded by Paps, she started taking pictures back of the Paps on her phone and she took a pic of my bf LOL LOL
Valk that is my point, she kept using words like "not spending a fortune", "in these hard times", "without breaking the bank" my only gripe whatsoever is she is turning elite/expensive/specialist "homemade" from late 90s early 00s into money saving to jump on the bandwagon.....anyway I think I have done enough Kirsty bashing now!Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Now that's how it's done. Kids would love making some of that stuff and it is proper traditional gear.
Those ivy ribbons ...they would look nice made with glue instead of sewed on, and kids could easily do that.
I bet people would even buy them if they were nicely made ?

That sounds lovely! I'm going to have to go and check if ours has them in now!0 -
I'm only watching this series because I want to see tonight's where she makes soap. I've got books about it, but want to see how it's made before I take the plunge! I've never seen this woman before but she does seem to be one of those "I'm going to have a cheap Christmas this year because it's fashionable" people rather than someone who actually has no choice. The glass blowing was interesting, but hardly money-saving (and not really accessible for most people - "I'm just popping down to my local glass works to whip up a few trinkets"!0

Missed it last night so will have to download it.
She's making soap tonight? That'll be interesting. Wonder if it will be melt and pour, or made from scratch.0 -

To be fair it is 'homemade' ,not frugal or money saving.
I like watching but wish they would keep the 'bargain at half the price' comments out of it.
It is far more aimed at the budding interior design divas than at most folk I know.
The second hand shop was most definitely not a charity shop and we had to smile at the Woolworth style baubles and little wooden bits and pieces that go for about 10-50p in our local RSPCA shop.
The children did seem to enjoy the salt dough and teacher was suitably embarrassed that he hadn't remembered a craft shirt for himself.0
