I enjoyed it and took it for what it was. Granted she doesn't live on the breadline but I am not sure why she's taking flack for having pay workmen to do up her house? If I'd got the money I'D pay someone to do the grafting and at least she's keeping some people in a job
It was a pleasant hour's TV, OK I didn't learn anything new (apart from the salt dough) but then it wasn't billed as a credit crunch style prog - it was about making stuff at home and that's what it was to a certain extent.
As for the lino cutting stuff for the cards, my own stash of card making stuff cost waaaaaaaaaay more than £20 but sometimes it's about the pleasure of making your own stuff rather than all about doing it as cheaply as possible that appeals too.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

After last nights show i went down to Hobby craft this morning to hunt down some petal/sugar paste and the price of it there was horendous  £4.99 for 500g. Went to local cake shop to buy the boards and boxes for xmas cakes to go in/on and they had a table set up with the paste on and it was priced at £2.20 for 500g. So bit the bullet and bought the 250g block and will have a go later as i detored the library for a book on sugarcraft figures.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Where do you get that from please?July Win: Nokia 58000 -
In her defence though, she is well-turned out - and though not conventionally attractive, she intrigues me somehow.
Put it this way, if she wanted to give me a lesson in doing it her way, I'd happily go along, fnarr, fnarr.......0 -
I keep reading about her priveledged background and her parents, but who were her parents?...anyone famous?0

I don't think she would have any conception of being OS in the way that we try to be, but it was an hour's worth of something that my OH calls 'coloured and moving' by which he means it's pleasant but not earth shattering. I like her and enjoyed it, but OH just went to sleep. I think she's a laugh in a way that Nigella isn't, and I enjoyed it, will do the salt/dough thing with my granddaughter and am going to make a wreath, which I've always wanted to do. So two usable ideas ain't bad surely ? And I'll certainly be there tonight even if OH goes to sleep again.0
