Is this for definate, does anyone know?? I have only been collecting points etc for 6 months and it's going very well, it would be a great shame if they change things now. If their intention is to stop the abuse of voucher code use, I can see where they are coming from but if they tighten it up so much that it becomes difficult to collect anything worth having then it's back to Asda for me. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope it's an idle threat!!!0

I read here a few weeks back that someone had been told that Tescos are no longer opening new Clubcard extra accounts. Most people didn't think this was correct. I got one about two months ago, when I was adding funds to my card this week the assistant told me that they are no longer opening new accounts. Maybe it was costing Tesco too much in points?
Yeah they said that to me a few months ago too.. then a few weeks later my friend called and got oneVery proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

TESCO vouchers and money off.
It could be that these are going to finish and become dedicated to an account.
IE: a discount voucher code will match your account and can only be used by the account holder for that account.
This will mean a voucher will be sent to an account holders e-mail so would stop others useing the same code.
In such a case I would think if you used your account every week or other week you would get no vouchers but if you did not use your account you would get vouchers to tempt you back to Tesco online shopping.
Shame I was just building up my miles.
What makes you think this?If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

Im new to that too.. but ive noticed when I registered (recently) my Club card plus online it showed me the points on that too. Today I got my *normal* card points through.. so I think the other ones are on the way. I dont THINK you have to register it, I just tried it to see if I could view the points online. I think its a separate mailing. So you SHOULD be fine.
But dont hold me to that.. haha
I'm sure somone in *In the know* will be able to answer you soon.

If this takes 20 minutes drive to get to for 1 point per 4 items, your wallet wont be happy. Please think about the distance. Even a 9 minute round trip isnt worth it.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -

I don'tsee how you can make such sweeping statements!!! Surely it depends:
1. If you are shopping there anyway or if you have other visits to make in the area?
2. How many items you have to recycle?
3. If you are converting them to Deals (in which case worth four times as much and thus blowing whatever method you are using to calculate your figures out of the water!)?:p
I think it goes without saying that driving 2-3 miles to stick 8 items in and get two points and drive home isn't economic, but with respect I don't think we need you to state the obvious! Credit MSE'ers with some intelligence please.

I used to have a clubcard then got a Tesco CC. At the time I was asked for my clubcard number. Susequently I have binned my clubcard as my CC does for this even if not paying with it. When using it at other places (eg Tesco Home Phone or National Tyres) I quote my CC number as my clubcard even if I pay by cash or another card (I don't though cos I max my points!). I get one statement showing both Tesco Personal Finance and all other points.
Having said that some people reckon its better to have two mailings, that way you get two lots of vouchers (extra points etc) which is probably a good idea. If they do this then probably best to leave it as it is!

Sorry to be stupid, but What are these recycling facilities and how does it give you points? and where is the nearest one to sheffield?
Thanks
