  • Look out for receipts in the trollys & especially around the tesco garages,if the receipt has a barcode at the bottom the points have not been claimed.I got 4 receipts at the w/e for a total of 218 points the best being one with 94 points,i got two of them put on my card this morning at the CS desk. Also you quite often find bonus extra points receipts in the trollys as well.4

Be careful with this, if you hand in a load of reciepts with the same dates on and different times, customer services will get suss. Or if you do it often. Then they'll phone up clubcard and you can have your card or points taken off you for 'abusing' the clubcard.

I did not know this. I have got several Tesco receipts for electical items. Do I have to take these receipts to customer services to get the points put on?

yes. depending on which store you shop, depends on how long you've got to get the points added. Tesco's tell CSD staff to only add them on if they are within two weeks. The can actually be added on after a few months, but it just depends on the store's policy/the attitude of the staff adding the points etc.
  • Degsy you are right. It is impossible to buy anything from MFI that is not in some kind of sale anyway. I bought bedroom furniture from MFI for both my chikdrens' bedrooms recently with Tesco vouchers without any problems. It was great as it cost the vouchers and about £3 cash!
    Happy shopping

Anyone point me in the direction of the article on this? Sure I read it last week, open an account and have £1000 in it on 30 Sept to qualify. Can't find the article and not sure which account it is and no mention on the flyer I picked up from Tesco - I have searched, honest but my computer skills are limited!!!

oops just found the thread, searching in the wrong place me thinks!!
  • Hi, has anyone any information on the tesco clubcard plus card please. Think you have to preload it and then get extra points?

Though tesco charges you rack rates quoted by RAC you actually pay only 25% of it as your clubcard vouchers are 4 times their value for clubcard deals. So if you say the breakdown cover costs £60 then it actually costs you only £15 in vouchers which is less than half of Autoaids £32. isnt it?

The Tesco/RAC rates are not that competitive, so only buy this if you really can't find anything better to use the Deal Tokens for.

GEM's 'reclaim' cover is way cheaper than AA, RAC or Green Flag. We pay £69 per year for joint cover (2 cars) and it includes home breakdown and onward travel etc. http://www.motoringassist.com. I used it last year and the reclaim side of it is very good - they sent the cheque to me by return of post.

i have been reading most this discussion with interest as I;ve just found out about tesco deals instead of spending my vouchers in store.

Can someone tell me what a till split is?
I keep seeing posts where people 'womble'.. what is wombling?

    Thanks :o

Am guessing wombling is just picking up other people's rubbish, so long as it consists of a Tesco receipt with unclaimed Clubcard points.
Just think how clean the streets would be if every piece of rubbish could be swapped for a point or two on a loyalty card.

Can I just ask how do you do your wombling without looking a bit sus?? I'm not sure I'd have the nerve to go round looking for receipts? Mind you I rarely shop instore.....maybe I will start now that the e-vouchers seem to have run out!

  • Hey all,

I've been trying to use voucher XX-RPJD for 1500 extra points on £100 spend but it doesn't seem to be working - anyone got any info on it?

I got it off the usual http://tescovouchercodes.blogspot.com but the site seems to have gone a bit down the pan :/
