Noticed in my lincoln store offer of 999 extra points when buying a Panasonic mini system costing £69.97. This is similar to the i pod offer and good value if you need a small hi fi. Rushing to pick up little ones from Nursery so didnt get model number.model number is SPMC3.
I work out that you will get
999 points plus 69 regular clubcard points = 1068 points.
If converted to deals this is the equivalent of £42.72 in deals vouchers meaning that the hi fi costs the equivalent of £27.25:j0 -

I'm new to clubcard points collecting and am trying to boost my points, taking on board all the tips from this site.
I've seen the 50% off home insurance offer with Tesco. Would I get points if I insured with them? They've quoted £206, compared with £201 from another insurer. If I do get points, how many would I get and would it be better than the cheaper quote?
Thanks in advance for any help.0 -

You may be better going through Quidco and getting a quote from Lloyds TSB as they are offering £90 cashback, and instead of getting buildings + contents together split it and get it seperate for £180 cachback0 -
i recently found a load of till receipts in tesco car parks! amongst these were a number of baby items bought. I put the extra points vouchers with these till receipts and the CSA added the bonus points on in addition to the normal points from the receipt total.
eg 100 extra points if you buy hipp baby milk. the till receipt showed only hipp 99p. this item was not queried on the receipt and the extra points were added without question.
i also have a load of receipts with fruit and veg on for the healthy living extra points coupons that i will be getting added next time i am in tesco.Just about to give up!0 -

dont know if anyone else saw this on bbc1 a few minuts ago...but yes, tescos are doing this, you'll get 1 point for each carrier bag you bring in for your shopping, and it doesnt have to be a tesco one either!Budget for Jan/Feb £240 per 4 weeks
Week 1-£52  Week 2-£75
Week 3-£60.66Week 4-£29.98 Total=£217.58
w/c 18th Feb: £6.500 -

I would advise caution.
I have seen reports of a Dude getting a letter from Tesco regarding irregular clubcard activities - i.e. he was doing the same as yourself.....
Cheers,

This is correct, staff are being trained on this in the next week or so, but the scheme doesn't go live till the 14th. Also staff have been advised to use common sense with the points, such as people using the canvas trolleys (what old ladies tend to use) should get more than one point as they would normally use more than one bagTitch0 -
Unfortunately you can't just bring in hundreds of carrier bags and get a point for each though, you just get a point for every one of your bags you use instead of a new one!0

Though tesco charges you rack rates quoted by RAC you actually pay only 25% of it as your clubcard vouchers are 4 times their value for clubcard deals. So if you say the breakdown cover costs £60 then it actually costs you only £15 in vouchers which is less than half of Autoaids £32. isnt it?highguyuk wrote:Just a bit of advice from me.
Just because Tescos offer points, it doesn't mean they are the cheapest. And even when you use the points for "Deals", it might have worked out cheaper for you to buy from another place.
e.g., Tesco Breakdown cover is (I believe) around £60 for 1 car for a comprehensive cover. AutoAid is only £32.
Getting points is great, I try to do it often, but make sure its the cheapest option:beer::beer::beer:0
