With regards to this. I have had my tesco credit card for about 7 years too. Does this mean I have the more favourable number of points too? I figured that when they changed the amount they give you they would do it for all account holders?MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0 -

Ask in store if you are not offered the points for using your own bags - they should honour this.

Hi,
I've only just become a clubcard member, and a complete novice to this. Wonder how i can boost my points balance quicker without having to spend a considerable amount of money shopping to get the equivalent points?
Are there any freebie points / Bonus points offers anyone is aware of?
Advice Appreciated0 -
Hi,
If you buy a clubcard deal online rather than by post, what stops you from using the vouchers again in store?HOW MUCH CAN YOU SAVE?: OLYMPIC CHALLENGE 2007BRONZE 10% SILVER 25% GOLD 50% PLATINUM 75%January 7%February 13%March 20%April 27%May 32%June 39%July 45%August 54%September 62%October 68%0 -

In the early days of the clubcard vouchers there was a lot of fraud as people soon realised that they could be worth alot of money. Now the CC voucher has almost as much security and anti fraud measures as a bank of england note.
Each voucher has a separate identity code that is logged as soon as it is used. These codes can be checked at any time to see if they have been used. Once the voucher has been used (for deals or instore) the system automatically knows that the id code on the voucher is no longer valid.
If you therefore tried to use a voucher that had previously be used for a deal the system would simply refuse to accept it.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

I called Tesco customer services and they have never heard of this deal. I pointed out that it was advertised and honoured in my local Tesco Extra, but the Rep that I spoke to could not say whether this was a one-off or what. He had never heard of it and didn't believe me at first!
I called my local store to find out more, but was put on hold for 25 mins, and I gave up. I am going shopping this weekend, so will enquire more about this for anyone who is still interested.
My sincere apologies for providing info about a deal that appears to be local. I think this is a good initiative - hopefully Tesco will do it in all their stores in the future? Its disappointing that they are not doing it across all their stores.

I asked in my local store about the carrier bad thingy and they had never heard of it0

I don't know if this is posted elsewhere on the site.
I picked up an envelope from the printer cartridges display in my local Tescos. It says...
"Please pop your old inject cartidges into this envelope. No Stamp required. We will give £1 to Whizz-Kidz, or give you 50 Clubcard Points and 50p to Whizz-Kidz for every recyclable inject cartridge we recieve."
(To my mind, the better deal is to go with the latter option. Whizz-Kidz get 50p and you get £2 in deals and you can still choose to donate some money to charity to offset your concience!)
"Please use this bag to recycle your inject cartridges that work in your Hewlett Packard printer, Lexmark printer, Dell printer. We also recycle Canon BC02/05/20/BX2/BX3. We cannot recycle Epson cartridges. Please do not use this bag for laser cartridges.
You can use the bag for more than one cartridge. You may call 0800 435576 quoting "Tesco Whizz-Kidz car bag" or email TescoWhizz-Kidzcarbags@inkagain.co.uk to order more bags.
There is a car (Toyota Prius) prize drawer on the envelope too. Scheme ends 29/12/06.
I don't know if any other recycling scheme gives better rewards.Nuts just take up space where chocolate ought to be.0 -
Hi all,
I've not been registered with this site long, but have been a MSE fan for ages! I'm a bit shy when it comes to posting on boards and stuff I get a bit shy thinking that people won't want to read anything I have to say! Anyway I wanted to post on here to thank the people that gave me the ideas about wombling in the car park! I just wanted to tell you about my success, in the last two weeks I have managed to top up my point from a measly £1.34 to a bigger £10.65. The reason I found it so useful is that over the last few months I've been steadily paying off my debts as myself and my fiancee have just bought our first home and want to be debt free from the start, anyway I've finally become debt free and am now saving very very hard for the wedding which I hope will be in 2008 (money allowing) when I found out tesco had teamed up with Virgin I realised there was a saving to be made on the honeymoon as we both want to go to Florida and on a cruise. So I started the wombling right away in various different Tescos, finding at least 50-70 points each time! I'm now so obsessed that I make my BF sweep one side of the car park while i sweep the other on the way in! Anyway sorry for waffling on but thanks to th egreat points boost = £40 off our honeymoon already! Not bad for 2 weeks work!!!Just trying to be me.....0
