My husband was bewildered when we walked past our mini-tesco yesterday on the way back from the pub, at first he thought I dropped something, when he realised I was actually looking for receipts dropped in the car park he just shrugged his shoulders, shook his head in disbelief and said, well I suppose there will be a little bit less litter on the street now.

I figure if it was a coin on the street I would pick it up - finders keepers!

(So I now have my first 4 receipts totalling 96 points):D

Joscar welcome tothe wombles club! Maybe this should have its own thread!:T

Check your Council Tax Band on the VOA Website as you could save 1000's - http://www.voa.gov.uk/council_tax/cti_home.htm

You'll get your other 35 points separately with your crdit card statement

Or call them up, get them to join your clubcard and CC points statement. That way you can keep a running total online. Always allow three or four days for the points to be added.

Bonus grocery points etc... are added within a week or so of your card being debited.

Wine points... well. You could be waiting some time (but usually within a month!)

I do not think you will get another 35 points for the CC transaction, depending on your CC you will get 1 point for 4GBP or 1 point for 2GBP, so either 17 or 8 points. If your cards are linked to the same account, all CC points will be on your receipt as 'TPF Bonus points' (Tesco Personal Finance)

For double points you need the Clubcard Plus account.

sorry for the GBP's no pound sign on the keyboard.

Someone said that if there was a bar-code on the bottom of a receipt you had to take it to CS to get the points within 4 weeks, or send off within a year. I never knew this and have got several of these for various electrical items.
When I look at the receipts, however, the points seem to have automatically have gone on my total. This is for 4 different things.
I'm totally confused about what I'm supposed to do and why.
Also if I sent off these receipts and something went wrong with one of my electrical items I would have no proof of purchase, so no guarantee.
I'm really baffled. Anyone help? Thanks.

The barcode you see on these receipts are because you bought electrical items - the barcode is their warranty. That is why it looks like your points have been added on...beacuse they have!

Don't phone them to join your clubcard and cc statement!

If you receive two different clubcard statements you'll get two lots of points coupons instead of one. At the end of the day, you'll still receive the same amount in clubcard vouchers but you'll get more points coupons.

I have just registered for the Clubcard Plus, thanks Martin as I did not know it exsisted. I shop in several shops, but use Tesco a lot but am careful to buy only if it is cheaper, although I do take into account petrol costs. The deals are great. I have taken out 6 Blackpool tickets for our family to use on holiday making a saving of £130.50. We certainly could not afford to go without these deals. We also applied for some day out deal vouchers to use at the Welsh Mountain Zoo near where we will be on holiday.

I like the info on using other reciepts dropped. my hubby goes mad for me collecting them - perhaps he should read the site, instead of burying his head in the sand. At least he now has a clubcard attached to mine - took me to apply for him to get that as well!

Ive taken the tip on finding reciepts at tesco, and i`m wondering if its ok to send all the reciepts to the Freepost address? ie. its obvious that there not mine as several different debit/credit cards have been used to pay for items, will tesco decline to put the points onto my account.

Tesco has just introduced a new scheme where if you bring your own shopping bags, you receive an extra Club Card point per bag. We always bring our own bags, and since the scheme was introduced we did our shop last week, using 4 of our own bags, and got 4 extra points! Every bit helps . . .

Ask in store if you are not offered the points for using your own bags - they should honour this.
