5200 points is still good going though, maybe you should be doing some r&r's as well though and a couple of large refunds would help too.

If you buy goods and then return them, are the points not deducted from Clubcard and thereby you can accrue points this way.

That's correct - I've had dozens of R&Rs and never been asked for my Clubcard when gettting a refund, so you always keep the points.

Be careful with this, if you hand in a load of reciepts with the same dates on and different times, customer services will get suss. Or if you do it often. Then they'll phone up clubcard and you can have your card or points taken off you for 'abusing' the clubcard.

How much wombling is too much? I would not want to risk losing any genuine points by being greedy with the womble points.

I regularly search the car parks for receipts, best place is the trolley parks. It amazes me how many receipts with credit card details are left behind - I know that some of the numbers are hidden, but I always make sure I dispose of my credit card receipts safely.

We have one Tesco on route home from the pub, so have been known to go through the rubbish bin collecting receipts whilst in a drunken stupor.

  • Just used my Tesco Clubcard Plus for the first time and spent £78, but only got 78 points. I thought it was supposed to be double. Main reason I got it! Should I ring and complain or will the right points be on my statement?
  • double points means 78 in ur clubcard and 78 in your clubcard plus account.
that is what they mean "double" points

    hope this helps
  • Kinda helps, but we didn't hand in our regular clubcard, just the green clubcard plus. We asked the lady, and she just wanted the one card, hope she hasn't swindled us out of points!

Don't worry your extra points will show on your quarterly statement as Tesco finance points (or something similar)

  • We've had a Clubcard Plus for a number of years, used it for shopping at Tesco Extra and the local Express, and had some really good deals using the points accrued, since you appear to get double points when you purchase using the card. We usually manage about £40 per quarter in Clubcard Vouchers

Does anyone know if you get double points using the card to purchase petrol at Tesco Petrol Stations? I spend about £300 per month on petrol for me and my wife's car, which would just about double our monthly housekeeping pend, so probably doubling our vouchers. If so, I'll increase the standing order to suit!

    TIA
