Not sure if its been posted but our local Tesco will only add clubcard points to your card within 14 days of date of receipt and a maximum of three receipts at a time, although i remember reading of someone who found a load of their own receipts over a year old and got them put on as a goodwill gesture.

thats quite generous...my locals are 7 days max and enforce it strictly :(

Don't forget to recycle your old mobiles and spent inkjet cartridges(not Epson) in Tesco sponsored envelopes from customer services. 250 points for a mobile (up to 5 mobiles per 12 months per card number, thats 1500 points or £60 in deals) and 50 points for a cartridge. If you don't have any old mobiles buy some from your local car boot sale.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the points once you've sent a phone off? I sent one a couple of months ago and am hoping it will be detailed on my next statement, but if anyone can confirm if this has happened for them please let me know.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you
  • Sorry if this is in the wrong place but can't seem to find where to put it!
Went shopping at Tesco yesterday and left my money off vouchers at home can I still claim the discount?
    Thanks:confused:

I did this too but I realised before I left the store and went to customer services and as a gesture of goodwill they gave me one of those gift cards with the amount on. I'm not sure whether this would work if you went back later with the receipt but you could try. If you got a nice customer service person it might work.

Give it a go, why not, they may do it for you by moneycard if you take your receipt along.

First rule of good money-off coupon-use: take your coupons with you everywhere. If you drive, keep them in the car. If not, keep them in your bag. Never let them see the inside of a kitchen drawer........:o

    That is a good tip.
There have been times when I've seen offers I want to take advantage off and then realised I could have got extra points if I'd used my coupons.
I've also picked up a lot of useful tips from this site:

    Hi,

    1) Can someone confirm for sure if you can use the Clubcard Plus card to buy petrol at Tesco and hence recieve double points for petrol? I was told by the Tesco Finance people when I set up the card that I couldn't do this? (However as Tesco are doing the buy £50 groceries and get 5p off a litre, it might well be worthwhile)

    2) I'm getting confused accounting for the points. The Clubcard Plus Account sends through a statement every month with a total points listed - is this for the 'normal' points I would receive AS WELL as the Clubcard Plus account? Also, when i look online at my normal Clubcard account points, does this take into account the Clubcard Plus account points?

    3) Can you use the Clubcard Plus account anywhere other than at Tesco?

BIG THANKS to anyone that can help me!

Oh forgot to give my tally:----

£52 of measely points so far this year:cool: however, armed with the info from this site :j i.e, mobile phones, print cartridges, club card plus account (just about to open) tesco credit card (had for ages but never really used) online shopping with codes (just ordered two weeks shopping on line and managed to put a code in to get 750 points) husband now opened account plus wine and baby, tesco home insurance (getting £40 back plus paid for with credit card) . I have even cancelled my mortgage DD so I can pay using my tesco credit card (worked out £60 per year) have tried the 'wombling' but have just ended up with soggy fag ash receipts that have already been claimed  ( I will keep on trying!) so I am setting a target of .....hmmmmm.... £300 in deals for this quarter until xmas giving me a total of £500 for the year....

    wish me luck xxx:T

(total on receipt to date 578)

favourite quote: "Come to the edge he said, they said we are afraid.
Come to the edge he said, they came, he pushed them... and they flew" (guillam appolinair)

Can you pay a reguler mortgage payment from a credit card? Is this like a DD or do you manually have to do it each month.

Sorry to get off subject, but if you can do this, I could make/save a fortune!

PS - Can you use the Clubcard Plus account to pay any reguler bills and receive points?

    OR

Are there any other large reguler bills that people pay using Tesco (or other) Credit Card? I always pay by DD from Bank, but I might be missing out!

Firstly I just want to encourage all of you who want to increase your points to also check out the paidtoshop website as mentioned above, because it is fantastic. MSE and paid to shop combined have helped me to increase my points total to a figure I never thought possible, and in the space of 1 month!

Some of the easiest things to do are to sign up to all 4 clubs, and if you don't like wine or the baby vouchers please go to paid to shop and swap them in the swap forum - I have been swapping all week and now I have loads of till spits, and vouchers that I can actually use.

Another good thing to do is to open an account for each member of your household, or in my case my 'imaginary household' make sure they all have the same surname and that way you will be able to use all of the vouchers for your deals. When you sign up to more than one account it means you can sign up to the clubs more than once, thereby receiving more than one mailing with lots more lovely points vouchers. I have 4 accounts! It also means you can use point codes on your shopping etc more than once. All of this is explained much better on the paidtoshop forum.

Anyway, hope it helps, good luck and happy point collecting.

FYI there are several people on paidtoshop with enviable points values of around 200,000 - and no that is no a typo, so you will be in good hands.
