I was signed up to the baby and taddler cllub when I was pregnant with my first little boy and they quartely send me the magazine with the extra points vouchers. Nopw I am pregnant again and updated details and they now send me seperately two magazines (one for toddler age and one for baby) so I get two ots of extra clubcard vouchers. So even if you aren't pregnant it maybe worth your while telling Mr T you are so you get an extra set of vouchers that you maybe able to swap etc.

    Hope this helps someone.
  • Yes - I moved to Powergen and received 2000 clubcard points for joining (1000 for each utility) - that was worth £80 in itself off clubcard deals - plus of course I receive 1 point for every £1 spent. It is helped boost the points but in reality after the intro points, I just consider them a bonus as points can be collected much quicker in the shop (Tesco). Powergen itself is similar to every other utility company I have experienced. When comparing it with other "cheaper" companies through "switch" etc it appears that I could make savings but after taking clubcard points and deals into account - the efort is not worth it. One problem I have had with Powergen is that the gas meter was not physically read for four years.
  • Just seen Martin Lewis on GMTV and felt it worth registering on this wensite. Martin's mesage about using Tesco Clubcard points on clubcard deals has been second nature to me since the scheme started. But very few people seem to listen. In 2002 I'd saved my points for 2 years, then just before the voucher dates started to expire I submitted them all for a weeks family (of 4) holiday in Centre Parcs Holland worth just over £1,200. Two years later a did the same but this time the collected points were worth over £2,900 and we had two weeks Half Board in Cyprus. I am now well on the way to the next £3k holiday. The Clubcard deals are great - so much choice which even offers deals for the smaller spender - how else can you get a years membership to Tussauds Theme Parks for around £21.75? THey are great because the whole deal is purchased - so it is like receiving it free - compared with Nectar where the offers usually consist of a discount which you can usually get anyway and Airmiles (which are better than Nectar) but you still have to pay taxes. THe Clubcard deal holiday parteners offer packages over £500 that include everything. I do have one of the original Tesco credit cards so my points mount up on every purchase against the card. I also usually take advantage of the till receipt offers of more points as the value of them against a Clubcard deal is usually more tyhan the cost of the item (I obviously do not buy it though if i'm not going to need it). Thumbs up for Tesco Clubcard!

Firstly I just want to encourage all of you who want to increase your points to also check out the paidtoshop website as mentioned above, because it is fantastic. MSE and paid to shop combined have helped me to increase my points total to a figure I never thought possible, and in the space of 1 month!

Some of the easiest things to do are to sign up to all 4 clubs, and if you don't like wine or the baby vouchers please go to paid to shop and swap them in the swap forum - I have been swapping all week and now I have loads of till spits, and vouchers that I can actually use.

Another good thing to do is to open an account for each member of your household, or in my case my 'imaginary household' make sure they all have the same surname and that way you will be able to use all of the vouchers for your deals. When you sign up to more than one account it means you can sign up to the clubs more than once, thereby receiving more than one mailing with lots more lovely points vouchers. I have 4 accounts! It also means you can use point codes on your shopping etc more than once. All of this is explained much better on the paidtoshop forum.

Anyway, hope it helps, good luck and happy point collecting.

FYI there are several people on paidtoshop with enviable points values of around 200,000 - and no that is no a typo, so you will be in good hands.

Anyone got a link to the paidtoshop forum please
