Kicking myself now!!!
You can't earn points of the actual purchase of Ford vehicles, only on things like servicing and repairs.0 -

I've been saving my points for about 4 years now and still waiting for the chance to spend them... there is no way to do this without feeling i've been ripped off by nectar.
The only thing i can thing of is pay for my shoping at sainsburys because anything else will be more expensive.
Any tips??0 -
Yes, the best value is £2.50 for 500 points - most of the Nectar 'deals' you can get cheaper buy paying cash, and buying your weekly shop with the points !
You can use Nectar points at Argos for the same value though ... £2.50 for 500 points0 -
Plus, before the 20th February 2010 every time you call a business which features the Nectar logo you will be entered into our prize draw to WIN one million Nectar points**
Might try to get some points.0 -

I've just been looking on the nectar website and I've seen you can spend your points to donate to the Haiti earthquake. Same value as above £2.50 for 500 points. Great for me as I have very little money so was feeling bad about being unable to donate but this way I can help out0 -
Is it me or have Amazon and Abebooks disappeared from the bonus point retailers list?0

At Christmas I had over £40 worth of Nectar points. I also couldn't think of anywhere else to spend them except Sainsburys (or Argos). No point in spending on the Nectar site.
So I put it toward our Christmas food and also bought a £20 New Look gift card in Sainsbury's for a friend. They are on sale near the tills and have other cards as well like Next and Topshop.
Hope this helps someone.0 -
As of 1st march, Nectar revised its reward offer to 500=£2.50 off across all rewards. This was a subtle change and not released with the fanfare of becoming the largest loyalty card in UK. By doing this, they have effectively slashed the options where people can spend their points, AND devalued their points. CUSTOMERS HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD.
For example, entry to alton towers use to be 4300 points. the entry price to alton Towers is £38.00 on gate entry price, so I was getting £4.41 per 500 points. I now only get £2.50 off for every 500 points.
This is the same for wine - I used to save my points for wine and get about £3.00 for every 500 points spent. I now only get £2.50.
More annoying is the rewards I could redeem for online and have delivered. I was saving up for an ipod nano and a Sony TV, but now they have disappeared and I have to go to Argos (ghastly) to buy them - at, guess what, £2,50 for 500 points.
I called their customer service team and they advised that some suppliers have left the programme and others have chaged their contracts. Although they realise that points are now worth less at existing rewards options, they are trying to introduce others at the moment. Also, Philips now have the exclusive contract to deliver electronics for Nectar. Rubbish - no apple, no samsung, no sony, no kenwood, no choice, and lack of quality.
In the end, Nectar have reduced choice, reduced the value of customers points, reduced quality, and not told customers.
They say they are a loyalty company, Is this how you treat your best customers?0
