If you are going to buy anything from Amazon, until the end of this month they have a triple points offer.

Outside of the special offer periods, fill up at Sainsburys.

BP give one point per litre, but Sainsburys give 2 points per £1 spent. At current petrol prices that's almost double the amount of points at Sainsburys.

Thanks for letting me know this.

I thought that sainsburys paid out the same as BP. I have been filling my car up to the litre instead of the pound, now I know to do the opposite at sainsburys.

You can now earn nectar points at the AA see

    http://www.nectar.com/earnpoints/theaa.nectar

Collect 2 points per £1 spent on the purchase of all AA personal membership products including European Breakdown Cover & Breakdown Repair Cover and all upgrades and renewals of such cover. Any bonus point incentives can only be awarded on the production of the relevant promotion code. Simply provide your Nectar card number to the AA and you will earn points on all subsequent valid payments. Points will be awarded on the amount of any payments towards your AA personal membership products within 28 days of making such payments. Points are not available on any other AA personal membership products including without limitation AA car, home or travel insurance, AA car data check, AA driving school or any AA financial services (including loans, savings and credit cards).

Only AA personal members will be entitled to receive Nectar points in respect of their purchase (including upgrades) or renewal of AA Membership. Additionally, only one customer per membership contract can receive Nectar points in relation to their purchase or renewal transaction. Nectar points will only be allocated to the individual providing payment for the membership purchase or renewal and not to other named parties covered under the membership contract.

I rang the AA and they advised me that this has only started in the last few weeks
