Go to the Nectar website and look at the Nectar estores. I found that there are quite a few online shops I use which pay Nectar points but only if you go through the estores link.

Someones posted that they got 25% discount off their AA insurance when they phoned up to cancel - but then also got their Nectar card registered to get some points - anyone know if this is possible?

Another way to boost your Nectar points at Thorpe Park

I went last Wednesday, used my Nectar Points for three tickets, on the way out I was able to 'bounce back' the ticket by paying £10 a ticket for another day entry ticket.

To summarise, Nectar Points plus £10 a ticket, two days entry to Thorpe Park. Entry should have cost £28+ each visit.

Quote Bertville: "Be aware that if you sign up to receive the Nectar points from EDF Energy, you will be losing out on the cash discount which is available for paying by Direct Debit. It is still possible to receive some points for reading your own meters."

EDF have a confusing mix of cash back and Nectar points on their bills etc - even offering a choice for the same thing (eg reading your own meters). When I joined up a few months ago I did my full research including clarification e-mails and phone calls. The upshot I found was that in all situations where there was a choice, going for cash back was in every instance much more beneficial. I then went to some trouble - and it's not easy online - to make sure I only elected for Nectar points for certain things when I advised EDF that I had a Nectar card.

At present I get 450 points each quarter and the rest in cash back. I get £7.40 a quarter just for reading my meters and reporting the figures to their website - a 5-minute job! Fantastic value. And that's only one. An additional bonus is that, for me anyway, because I subscribed online, the prices haven't gone up as they have elsewhere. Though it is sure to come eventually.

New to nectar so sorry if this is a silly question. Made a £17 purchase from Amazon through nectar and only 34 points showing in my account, even though it's triple points until 30/6/06. Do the bonus points get added later or have I been diddled? LOL.
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

Went to brewers faye on Saturday and used a voucher for 800 bouns points. My normal poins was 114. bonus points added is 1050. Not 800. Nice surprise when logging on to my nectar account today!
Either the coupon is giving more points than it says or there may be an extra points offer on too.

    Hi Clasics,

I was just wondering the same thing, lol. So checked the T&Cs and it says that the bonus points will be added later ;) .

DON'T SPEND YOUR POINTS YET!!! Wait until July 1st

For the first time, we've discounted some of our most popular rewards!

Throughout the summer from July 1st to August 25th there'll be a different theme each week with special offers for that week only.

With great offers on CDs, wine, cameras, days out and much more, now is the time to spend your Nectar points!

Log onto www.nectar.com from July 1st to find out more.

Have a great summer with Nectar!

From the email it looks like they will be offering the following:
    July 1st - 7th = 50% off wines, BBQ's & more
    July 8th - 14th = Kids go free on Eurostar & more
    July 15th - 21st = 50% off CD's & SOME magazine subscriptions
July 22nd - 28th = 50% off great attractions such as Alton Towers
    July 29th - Aug 4th = 50% off Cameras, DVD players & more
    Aug 5th - 18th = 241 on movie & game rentals
    Aug 19th - 25th = 50% more Value at Adams kids

Some really good deals there if you have a few points, nectar isn't usually the most rewarding but making use of the above deals helps to get the most out of them - especially if you still have the ford points :T

Try joining up to TNS to do online surveys, the points you are awarded are converted into nectar points. I have completed a survey today worth 1500 points. They're not all like this though, usually anything from 30-250 points a survey.

The above is the homepage, there isn't an option to join, but there is a contact us option there, not sure if they are recruiting at the moment, but worth sending them a quick note expressing your interest.

    Hi,

How can you join https://www.mytns.com? I contact them and they say it's by invitation only...

I had the same reply. You have to be invited by a "recruiting partner". Anyone here a recruiting partner? :iloveyou:
