I'm assuming the phone's knackered now, as it wont turn on.
Is there a chance it might work when it dries out??
Is there anything I can do with it, apart from binning it??
Stupid me!
My son left his 2 week old phone in his pocket too, went through the machine and drowned:rotfl:
Fingers crossed it will work again for you0 -
My daughters Samsung D600 dropped out onto the floor when emptying the washing machine.:o It had done a full wash cycle. The phone is physically undamaged but obviously wet. I have removed the battery and sim card and left them to dry near a radiator, the front screen has condensation on the inside.
Is there anything else i can do, she is gutted and in tears as she saved up so hard to get this phone, if you have any ideas which may help please do.
Many thanks for helping..Not ashamed to say ABBA are Great :j0 -
hard, water damage isnt covered by insurance or warrenty and is the WORST way to damage a phone, most places will refuse to even try and repair it, you could try but id say its throwing good money after bad
ive heard its better to leave it under a lamp for a few days rather than a radiator as a radiator frys the insideYes Your Dukeiness0 -
I think you have a fighting chance of saving it. Do not turn it on while there is the slightest possibility of it being damp!!!
Take the covers off and anything that will come off easily and leave them separately to dry in an airing cupboard or over, not touching, a warm radiator. It could take a week to dry out but better safe than sorry.0 -
dry it out then strip it and clean it as there will be corrosion across the chips causing damage even if it turns on0

i have tried putting the battery back in and it just starts buzzing/vibrating.Is this a good/bad sign.I took the battery out immediately, and left it drying again. I wouldn't know how to strip a mobile phone down, but thanks for the suggestion any way.Not ashamed to say ABBA are Great :j0

Ahh... You just couldn't wait could you? Now I think you have a slight chance of saving it if you leave it to dry for a week.0 -
